Does anyone else having trouble getting Walmart to accept coupons printed at home? The last two times I’ve used printed coupons there, they have had trouble scanning them and told me that Walmart’s policy is that they wouldn’t accept them if they couldn’t scan them. (I even print coupons with a higher ink setting to avoid this issue and don’t have trouble at Target, just Walmart.) I have to ask for a manager and sometimes the manager gets the coupons to scan and they ultimately take them, but I get a lot of attitude, even from the manager. 🙁

    • deborah

yes the same here where i am at but if i go to self severe line the workers seem to punch the coupon in for me

      • Laura

The last time I did go to self checkout and was chastised for bringing coupons to the self checkout line. The worker was rude and when I asked for a manager, she said the manager wouldn’t take them either and would tell me the same thing. The manager also tried to tell me that if they didn’t scan she wouldn’t take them but I told her they have before. She very reluctantly suspended my order and had to finish it at the main “help” register by the self checkouts. And amazingly, all of my coupons scanned at that register except for one that she hand entered. I wasn’t going to walk away from $10 in coupons, but I wish I didn’t have to fight so hard for it.

      • Connie

Yeah Walmart is the WORST about accepting my coupons in MO. 🙁

    • Jennifer Liscio

I always have trouble at walmart with printable coupons and always get attitude. I just don’t shop there anymore, thankfully there is a target, homeland, buy-4-less and other stores close by that I never have trouble at and usually get better deals. It’s not worth someone messing up my day.

      • Laura

Oklahoma Homeland? I’m new to OK and I’m wondering how they compare to Walmart and Target prices? Is double coupons worth it? Are they coupon friendly? Thanks for any help!

        • Casey

Laura, welcome to oklahoma I’m a long time couponer if u have any ok a questions email me at couponcrazykc@me.com

          • Laura

            I emailed you! Thank you!

    • bcbebs

I guess my walmart is nice. I have never had a problem and sometimes the manager has to come to okay the transaction because of the amount of coupons I have but the cashiers have always been friendly, courteous and I price match as well. The managers are just as friendly and I have many printed at home coupons I use. I love my walmart and have been pleased with the service thus far.

    • chely

I have same problem with Walmart (WF, TX), they always have trouble scaning the coupons, and people is rude.

    • Sandra

Maybe the ink is too thick. I had that problem. Try wiping off the cartridge with a damp paper towel. That is what Cartridge World told me to do and it worked.

      • Ashlynn

You need to download the software to your computer from the different coupon sites, then link your printer to your lab top. Visit coupons.com there once you try to print a coupon it will give you step by step instructions to download

        • ish

  4. valresmith

I couldn’t find the Bomb Pop coupon the site??

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Hello! The Bomb Pop coupon is still there…be sure to change your zip code to 60102 and state to Illinois.

  5. rosana

safeway and kroger have the dial hand soap for 1.00

  6. Picklesandpaisley

My Checkout 51 account has $1 cash back on the Florida Natural Citrus Smoothies! So just $.98 after cash back!

  7. Kristen

I’m getting discouraged couponing for groceries! I can never find a free or really cheap deal on the stuff we actually use!! I find it better off buying the store brand… 🙁

    • RA Cashier

Same here! The only time I can get good deals is whenever there is double coupons. My nearest Kroger and Harris teeter are over 45 minutes away from my house so I never really get food much.

      • Kristen

And I don’t even have one of those! All I have is walmart. Ugh

  8. Tatyana

    Hi Collin,
are you going to make more videos? I didn’t see one in a long time.
    I love them 🙂

  9. Lindak

Walmart self check has been a godsend for me. No issues with coupons whereas before i had to watch the cashiers like a hawk and stand there until they took my coupons. I still try to avoid the store but will go in to get something free or almost free and get shopkick points while i’m there.

    • Laura

Agreed! I ALWAYS go to self checkout and rarely have any problems with coupons at Walmart. Plus you can take as long as you want to try to get that coupon to scan! A cashier isn’t going to want to try multiple times to get it to!

  10. Rose

I was told at another store that lighter printed coupons seem to scan better as long as you can see the bar code. Dark printed bar codes never seem to work.as.well.
