Check out the deals reader, Theresa, was able to score at Staples:

Deal #1: Staples had the LeapFrog $20 digital download cards for $10.50! I have a picture of the shelf tag.

Deal #2: Staples brand bright copy paper, there is the coupon for buy one get one free on their website

Well,  I paid half price for 3 of them and got 3 for free! There must be an unadvertised buy one get one free deal because it was the paper coupon that took the 50% off the full price items. I paid $23.67 + tax for 6 reams!!

So I’m confused on Deal #2…. Is there a BOGO going on in-store, making everything 1/2 off, and then the paper coupon makes them BOGO again, paying basically 25% for each pack (aka, 50% for one pack and 0% for the other)??

    • Theresa

I believe so! I found no signage up indicating the sale. I can’t find anything anywhere else about it. The coupon code 13039 was the one that I printed online, which took the 50% off of the full priced item. I found this deal in Michigan, I hope it’s not regional because this is an amazing deal!

Which part of Michigan are you in Theresa? I didn’t are anything in our store today either so I figured it was regional. Darn it, I should have tried it!

        • Theresa

I bought this in Fort Gratiot (Port Huron), Michigan.

Theresa would you please help me. The sku for leap card I can’t read, would be able to give it to me off of your camera? I tried to enlarge the pic and it comes out blurry. Thank you

        • Theresa

          Sku 193271 🙂

          • Halle

            Thank you!!!

I will most definitely be curious to see if anyone else finds the same deal on their colored paper reams; I may have to check into it!

  3. Kimmie

I have a question. You picked out 6 reams of paper..I get that 🙂 Did you only print one coupon out and it took it off all 3 packs or did you have to print out 3 coupons? Sorry…I’m a little new to this!

    • Kimmie

and did you do this on yesterday (Sunday?)

      • Theresa

I did this on Sunday. I bought 6 reams of “bright” copy paper. The register made them buy one get one free, the coupon then took 50% off of the full priced ones.

  4. me

what do you do with color paper? or what do you use for? specially when you buy that many ….

    • Stefanie

I don’t know what the person who shared the deal does, but being a teacher, it’s definitely something I would use!

    • lj

use it to print coupons. my daughter (5) would LOVE this for her “cards”, pictures she draws and paints etc. With little ones, paper never seems to last. Donate it to your school or sunday school or vbs or daycare. I’m sure I can find lots of things to use it for. If nothing else, scrap paper 🙂

    • Theresa

I bought this for our preschool, we need all those colors for projects and flyers we send home. 🙂

  5. Angie

This deal just worked for me too! Thanks! 🙂

    • Stefanie

Were the reams $15.79 each in store (before discount) for you, too? It shows that price on the receipt pictured, but the online price at staples.com is $12.49 per ream so I was just wondering how the price compared in store for others before I head out there 🙂

  6. Sara

Thanks the deal worked in tx

        I bought 8 for like $32

I bought a bunch of colored reams of paper at Staples during back to school sales last year and they were free after coupon and rebates. You might wait and see if they get cheaper if you don’t need them immediately. =)

  8. Stefanie

The colored paper deal was a no-go for me. It rang up B1G1 free in the register but when he scanned the coupon, it was declined 🙁 I was really hoping to get a couple packs!

    • Jen

I had the same thing happen to me… And yup, he was trying to type in the numerical code on the coupon. Said offer not valid or something like that. Once he looked at the receipt, he saw that it was already coming up as BOGO so it wouldn’t apply it twice… 🙁 Still an ok deal, just not as great as I was hoping!

      • Stefanie

I only did two reams and the person below suggested trying at least 4, so I may go back and try that! Did you do two also or more??

  9. Sara

Stefanie did you tell him to type in the coupon

    • Stefanie

No, is that what I should have done? I can go back again tomorrow and try if that will work.

  10. Halle

Hi ladies, where was the leap frog gift card? I can’t find any in Los Angeles

    • Theresa

I found it more with the teacher supplies. Ours in Michigan also stocks the actual LeapPads. HTH.

  11. Ketryna

I did this deal and you have to purchase at least 4 for the computer to recognize the paper b1g1 coupon. I tried just getting 2 but it didn’t accept the coupon but when I added 2 more the coupon successfully came off. My paper was also priced at 14.99 so my total was around 22 for 6 reams. Hope this helps others.

    • Jen

Ooooo – interesting! Thanks Ketryna! I just made a comment above, that it didn’t work for me (said it already took it off, so got it for BOGO but not the extra 50%). I appreciate you mentioning this – wonder if something about the quantity triggers it? I hate to risk having to deal with returning it, but I think if might be worth trying! For those asking what do you use it for… my husband teaches high school and he does anything he can to catch the kids attention!

    • Stefanie

I’m wondering if this is because wen you buy two and there is an in-store B1G1 free promo, the computer does one full price and one at $0, so you have to buy four so that the computer sees two at full price to apply the coupon to. That seems to make sense.

      • Stefanie

        When*

  12. melissa

I was told that leapfrog price was only because that store was closing…..not that price at my store 🙁

  13. Julie

I went to Staples in CT yesterday, and the deal worked for the paper. Pay $25.17 plus tax for six packs of paper. Thank you Collin!
