So glad I found this! I had a dividend of $32.69 on my REI membership so this ended up only being $39.38 for me, shipped! I feel like I just hit the jackpot…I was going to buy one today at Target!

My sister is a doctor and loves the ergo, and says the bjorn is not good for babies’ development. We had already used the bjorn for my first born (no problems, but admittedly not so comfortable to wear for long periods…) But at this price, i’ll try the ergo for the new baby!

I love my ergo!! I’ve tried carriers with my 2 older kids and it never worked out. Now we have a 2 month old and decided to use the ergo. BEST BABY PURCHASE EVER!! Even my husband wears it around the house, lol! It’s comfortable and easy to adjust.

I’m wondering if it is cooler than other carriers? I love my moby wrap, but it is so hot! Also, how big do they need to be to not need the infant insert? TIA

      • amy

a zillion times cooler than moby

      • Krista

We live in Kansas and it is not cool but It is better than the moby because the back is at least open, but I have come to the conclusion that if you strap a baby to yourself in 90 plus temps, it is going to be hot! Haven’t found a way around that yet!

        • Krista

I never used an infant insert for my infant. YouTube has videos with recommendations of hoe to carry a small baby with no insert.

      • Natalie

If you like the wrap style but want something cooler than the moby you should look at the Solly Baby Wrap. The material is much lighter than the moby! I really love my solly baby wrap.

Last week or so Target had the gray galaxy ergo on clearance for I think $32. Check the end caps to see if any are left.

    • Jennifer

I scanned them. These were full price at my Target.

  5. Annie

One note, the chocolate ends up being only $10 more if that color suites you better.

    • Jessica

Just ordered the brown one yesterday! Can’t wait to get it. Ended up being $77.

  6. nicholenace

I searched high and low for the target clearance on these, and could not find one. Thank you so much! I am so happy to have got this!

  7. Lila

    Got it. Thanks!

  8. Sam

Got one for a baby shower gift. Thank you!

People should be really careful buying “Ergo” these days. Many fakes out there, even so called manufacturers pretending to be the real Ergo distributing to big chain stores. There was even a 20/20 show that recently aired showing some ‘large’ brand companies being duped in receiving and then selling out fake ones. I’m glad I got the 1st generation a decade ago and it’s super good quality that it’s been passed around to my sis in laws 3x now.

here is the video if anyone is interested – Ergo discussion is about at 15:20

I checked to be sure. According to the Ergobaby website, REI is an authorized retailer, so this offer should be legit.

Best carrier I ever owned. I bought this one when my child got to large for the bjorn. Wish I would have been aware of this brand from the beginning. The only carrier you will need.

  11. Kat

If you’re getting an Ergo without researching other carriers, I highly advise you do so. There are many other types out there which are more comfortable & versatile. Ergo is just what’s mainstream so we go with it & trust it. But please do your research.

    • Lolita

I had always wanted an ergo but had used other carriers. I finally broke down and purchased one when I was pregnant with my almost 1 year old, and I don’t like it (and neither does she!) I am holding on to it in case I change my mind, or have another baby and the other baby likes it, but yeah… I thought it would be amazing based on how people talk about them, and it wasn’t amazing for me! I have the organic one, with an organic insert.

    • Cara

There are so many options but I love Ergo. It’s “mainstream” for a reason. There are other good choices sure and people should consider them but mainstream isn’t always bad.

    • Erica

I think it completely depends on the person and body type. I have an ergo, a beco Gemini, and a boba. Dh loves loves loves the ergo so much that he’s claimed it as his. The boba digs into his armpits too much. He’s 6’4″ tall. I am good with all of them but tend to use the Gemini more (only because it is in the van).

      • 4under4

I love the Gemini too! And my Onya. They are by far my favorites 🙂 the ergo just never felt right on me

  12. Elise

I have a lilibaby. It’s a lot like the ergo.

  13. Mosley mom

I have an ergo and a maya wrap. I love them both!

  14. jessica

If you don’t want to buy an infant insert, you can just roll up a receiving blanket and tuck it under baby’s butt. It works just the same.

  15. amanda

    sold out 🙁

  16. Elizabeth Wong

Hello, I am from Hong Kong and would like to buy one of these baby carriers. Would there be an extra cost for shipping? Besides, if we would like to buy the infant insert with it, how much would that cost?

  17. Amy

boo. ordered yesterday morning, just got the cancellation tonight for the camel. seems they oversold and cant complete the order
