    Do this taste good.

Actually been years since I had this. My parents use to pack the cans on our camping trips. I remember they were chunky and more gravy like. And I LOVED them! I don’t know if they have changed over the years, but I’m going to get them for sure.

I consider these hurricane supplies and usually end up donating them. They are loaded with salt, some as much as 1,300 mg in one tiny pkg! Not incredibly heathy to the point I would even eat 1 per week.

All these Hormel shelf-stable meals tend to be pretty gross. My husband who isn’t terribly picky compares them to dog food. And they definitely aren’t for the health conscious, as a previous commenter said. I’d be curious to hear how they compare for TeresaAnn. My husband has fond memories of so many foods from his childhood that he doesn’t enjoy–and sometimes can’t even eat at all–as an adult.

Erin, do you think they would be good for dogs? That’s a pretty good price if dogs could eat this. I’m being serious here. Or do you think the sodium is too high for dogs? hmmmmmmm

I’m with TeresaAnn, my father bought this in the can when we were kids and we loved it.

When you say Cartwheel has a limit of four does that mean I need to load four of them in cartwheel somehow or will the register automatically apply it to the four in my cart? Sorry for the newbie (?).

    • SJ

It will give you the discount for up to 4.

    • Erin

Most Cartwheel offers have a limit of four unless otherwise specified. The register automatically deducts the correct amount based on the number of products you are buying.

Do you think we can mix and match and do 3 completes meals and 2 dinty moore beef stew and still get the gift card?

    • janiece

Mixed and matched successfully — even though the packaging says Dinty Moore and nowhere does it say “Compleats”, these qualify. Outstanding deal!
