I’m confused. Are the coupons that say redeemable at walmart not only for walmart?

    • Mel

No. Its just a -suggestion- to purchase at WM, but it is a manuf coupon redeemable anywhere. If it said “ONLY AT xx” then it would only be redeemable at ‘x’ store.
However, I ran into an issue a few wks ago trying to use a coupon that said Redeemable at Walmart at Walgreens and the cashier said she could not accept it b/c it is considered a competitor coupon, and according to their updated coupon policy, they do not accept competitor coupons. I asked to speak to the manager b/c I was under the impression a competitor coupon was a coupon that was store specific, like Rite Aid’s Video Value or coupons that print from the scanner at CVS. She said no, if it has another store name/logo it is a competitor and Walgreens will not accept it nor get reimbursed (which IMHO, is a load of hooey) But if they want to play that game, then I will purchase my items somewhere else.

I still have $1/1 coupons. So I am getting them free..

      Me too! 🙂

I also have that coupon. But I noticed that the coupon exceeds the product’s price. Do you think it would work?

      • Jill

Walgreen’s has changed their policy and won’t accept a coupon that exceeds the product price.

Just tried to use the $1 off 2 (just needed olives, even at $1.50/can) but they said “we can’t take this because it says Redeemable at Walmart”. I tried to tell them that it was a Manufacturers coupon but he called the manager and they said NO. They dont even know their own coupon policy. That’s why I stick with CVS!

    • Amy Stotts

I’m totally with you there! CVS is great about coupons AND they know their policy amazingly well, at least here. The wags around here won’t take them if they have a store name on them either.
