   Sadly, the yellow one has never worked for us. I stocked up before my daughter came and it did nothing for her. We now only use the purple desitin max because it has a higher zinc content (what makes the stuff work her pedi. said). I am wondering if the red tube of this which has equal zinc would work too. Anyone try/use the red one?

  I only use the red one. I think it wipes off my fingers better and is less sticky and stinky than Desitin.

   My daughter is 2 and so far never had rash but once when she had loose motions…at that time nothing worked but someone told me to put petroleum jelly and she was healed in one night….thought I should share

    As a nurse in a long term facility, I can tell you that this stuff works better than most of the prescription items that we tried on irritated diaper rash for incontinent patients. Then when my husband was in ICU and had some irritation, they were using a prescription cream that showed very little improvement. I told them about this, they changed him over to this, and it cleared right up. Great stuff.
