If you missed out on this yummy deal previously, you may be happy to hear that there’s a new promo code available! As I’ve mentioned previously, Plated.com offers chef-designed recipes delivered right to your doorstep so that you can prepare a healthy and delicious dinner for your family without having to leave your home (love that…especially with the busy-ness of school and sports starting again! 🙂 )!

Each Plated.com recipe comes in a 100% recyclable, biodegradable box filled with ALL of the ingredients that you need packed fresh and pre-portioned to cut back on waste. You’ll receive everything from the cut meat and chopped produce right down to details such as a teaspoon of turmeric or a quarter cup of coconut oil. Once your box arrives, just transfer the contents of the box to the refrigerator and your ingredients will remain fresh for the next 4-5 days!

Even better, new Plated.com members can now use the promo code PUREWOW at checkout to get 4 Plates for FREE plus a 3-Month Membership for FREE – all you have to pay is shipping costs of $20 (note that you do need a minimum of 4 plates for each delivery date). Just head here, click on the Get Started button, select the recipe(s) you want to try, add 4 plates to your cart (note that you can add 4 plates of the same recipe or choose 2 plates from 2 different recipes), enter the promo code PUREWOW at checkout, and you’ll pay $20 delivered! And keep in mind that they have gluten-free options, vegetarian options etc.

So what are YOU waiting for? Go here to order! 😀

[h2s_box]Note about the Monthly Membership: If you use the code PUREWOW as mentioned above, you will be automatically signed up for a Monthly Membership. Each Thursday, Plated.com will create an order for you unless you have either placed an order, requested a skip, or opted-out of automatic deliveries. They will choose recipes for you and charge the card they have on file, but you may change or cancel your order any time before Sunday at noon. If you would like to skip a week or turn the Automatic Deliveries OFF (super easy to do in just a matter of seconds!), just check out your membership page in your account. Also note that a monthly fee of $10 will be charged on a recurring basis for inclusion in their membership program; however, there is no minimum commitment period and your membership can be cancelled at any time! Does anyone know if you can you sign up now but pick a start date in the future?

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Yes, you can choose all the way up to a 9/15 delivery date. Hope that helps! 🙂

  2. Betsy

I’m confused. You get 4 plates and a 3 month membership free. Does that mean 4 free plates and the $10/month fee is free for 3 months, but you still pay for the plates (except the 4 free)?

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Yes, you are right! The plates are normally $12 each plus an extra $10 monthly membership fee, so you are getting 4 plates free ($48 value) + a free membership fee for $3 months ($30 value).

  3. Betsy

Or do you get 4 plates free and the 4 plates free each week for 3 months with the free 3 month membership, but they will charge you $10/month for the monthly fee. So for 3 months you will be charged $50, but get a total of about 50 plates? I think that’s not correct, but am not sure.

    • Susan

I wish this is how they were doing it, I would be all over it. I am pretty sure it is only 4 free plates. and then you get the $10.00 monthly membership you normally pay free for three months.

  4. Felice

Please clarify Collin. Total cost and total plates. Thank you.

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

With this initial order of 4 plates, you will pay a total of $20 so that breaks down to $5 per plate. Hope that helps!

  5. Susan

ok now I am confused as well. You said note you have to have a minumiun of 4 plates per delivery date. So does that mean we have to order 4 plates for the 3 months we get free. Because basically I only wanted to use it for the 4 free plates for $20.00 shipping for the first month. Am I required to order 4 plates for each additional free month?

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

      Hi Susan!

There is no minimum commitment period and your membership can be cancelled at any time – so that means you can order the initial 4 plates and then cancel if you do want to continue the membership! Just visit the “Membership” tab of your Plated account page and click the “Cancel Membership” button.

I just…I can’t get on board with these services. There are DEFINITELY times when I could see this being helpful– maybe on a vacation, or right after a new baby– I could see then that the convenience would outweigh the negative factors. And certainly if one lived in a place where fresh, interesting foods were hard to get, this would be a fun option every now and then. But where I live, especially in the summer months, I’m in AWE of the farmers’ markets! I guess I would just feel a little strange having a boxed meal delivered to my doorstep when a trip to the farmers’ market to support local farmers would mean only an extra half hour added to the day. In any case, the meals do look tasty!

  7. Brittany

What is included in the membership?

    • Brittany

I’m so sorry-I know this is irritating, but in the next three months, we pay for the minimum 4 plates, so $48 a month if we want to continue using the 3 month membership, correct?

  8. Stacy

Honestly, I still think this service is ridiculous. They’re shipping fresh ingredients halfway across the county with an absurd amount of packaging, for people to make recipes that are offered for free on the web. During the summer, when wonderful produce is cheap, plentiful, and local no less! Paying around a $10 person so that I can peel, trim, and chop everything myself and not even have leftovers for lunch the next day? And wash dishes? No thanks.

This service is for people who somehow have enough time and the desire to prep, cook, and clean up after a meal, but don’t have the time to go to the store.

I did this membership the last time it came around and have had it for 3 months. I got a lot of my friends to sign up which gave me 4 meals for $24.00 (referral credit). I thought it was definitely worth the $24.00 for 4 meals. I would love to continue to do the program if I could always get 4 meals for $24. The membership fee plus $12 a plate (4 plate minimum) seems like a lot for me. I thought the food was fresh and easy to make. I ordered 20 plates over the 3 months and loved them all. GREAT WAY TO TRY NEW INGREDIENTS!!!

    • Brittany

Thank you so much for clarifying Carrie! Yeah, I can’t justify $48 for a 4 person family meal weekly!

      Hey Bree,

I tried to use your link, however it wouldn’t allow me to use the PUREWOW promo at the same time. Sorry.

If I wanted to refer my own friends, would they be able to say I referred them and get the PUREWOW promotional offer at the same time? Or is the referral program a different promotional offer, that isn’t able to be used alongside others?

I just looked at the menu in my area and it is only on Wed and Sat and of the next 6 meals only 2 had meat or seafood. The rest were just pasta and veggies. $48 for 4 people to eat a little pasta and/or veggies is outrageous! The veggies are cheap summer veggies.

Heck I spend $40 a week just on regular groceries a Week. This is I guess for rich people.

  12. brenserb

I did this and we loved it! 2 fancy meals for two of us for $10 you cant go to mcdonalds for that! We loved it!

Before you purchase, enter your zip code to make sure they deliver to your area. I live in Denver and they don’t deliver here.
