What else can,be done with this besides making rice

    • bernadett20

      I think it’s only for rice…

I bake cakes in mine. Also cheesecake and cornbread and casseroles. I use mine like an oven. The cakes are much, much better than oven baked cakes because they are really moist. I love my rice cooker!

Anyone knows if this is a good one? 79 on amazon.. I wanted one for a long time

I’ve been using a rice cooker for almost 20 years and I’ve never run across one that didn’t cook perfect rice. It’s my favorite kitchen appliance. Unless you need one that’s fancy, the cheaper rice cookers work just fine. You can easily find one for under $25.

Agree have been eating/cooking rice all my life. Have not known any rice cooker that doesn’t do its job, cheap or fancy.

        • Lina

Well all rice cookers cook rice fine. The rice lasts longer when you use higher quality rice cookers (when you leave under the keep warm function). So you can leave your rice in there for another day and a half if the rice cooker is good otherwise you have to make rice every time.

I make enough to last me a few days. I don’t mind making more because rice cooks really fast.

        Thanks.. I’ll go w a cheap one..

I’m sure you’ll be happy with it!

FYI: Costco has same size rice cooker always for $30. LOVE mine. Perfect rice. plus a lot of other uses as stated above.
