Does the steamer sanitize and kill bacteria as well? I remember the last one that was posted also sanitize I’ve been waiting for another deal for a while, I have a crawling baby so it would be awesome to get one that sanitize my hardwood and kitchen floor TIA =))

Does anyone know if it heats up the water? Like a steam mop?
No, it does not heat the water and does not sanitize. I’m on my second one (pretty much wore out the first one, cats not kids). I bought a second one because I do find it easier than a mop and bucket and I like the idea that it sucks up the dirty water as you go. After owning my first one, swishing around dirty water with a mop no longer made any sense to me. That said, do I think it does a great job? No. Does it do a good enough job? Yes, for me it does. Keep in mind that if your house is old and your floors are uneven, that can affect the performance. Some really stuck-on spots don’t come off unless I press down on the machine to push the brushes into the floor. Make sure you always empty out the dirty water intake tank after each use because it won’t take long for it to start to smell!
