My experience at Rite Aid has always been that you have to purchase the items as a set to get the sale price. And since you are buying two sets of 2 and then one single pack, the single pack will ring up at the $1.29 price. Let me know if you’ve had a different experience at Rite Aid.
As long as you’re purchasing over the stipulated number of items (in this case 2), the consecutive items should ring up like the others (I’m pretty sure that’s how it’s happened as far as I can remember, but I might be wrong). I’ll try out the scenario and post back 🙂
I did not try this, but I asked one time before in a similar situation and they told me if you don’t buy in sets, the odd one will be the single price even if you buy one set and the one.
