Has the price for a DVD gone up everywhere? It’s $1.50 a night in UT. It start a few weeks ago.

Hi, Noel, since I can see you were wondering which be correct to use, it would be “take effect”. The word “Effect” is the noun, and “Affect” is the verb. Hopefully nobody will shoot me– I’m an English major and writing tutor. Something I made up for my students that might help folks to remember by is the first letter “a” in the verb form standing for “action”.

Just reserved my movie at a kiosk.
Redbox is increasing to $1.50 for non bluray everywhere by Nov 2014. I read it in a technology magazine last month. With fewer ppl renting you would think the prices would stay low.. What am I thinking? Crazy crazy
blockbuster raised their rates when they started to have trouble renting from the stores. It’s a sign that things are definitely moving to streaming videos. The DVD will become obsolete.

Mine worked for Walgreens in SC for the online reservation.
I got a new release and noticed they have increased the price to 1.35, so with the code I was charged .15. Still a great deal for a movie! Thank you!

DVD rentals are $1.35 tax in WA. Code took $1.20 off, paid $0.16.
Worked for me online in Oregon, where rental charges have gone up to $1.35 now.
It worked for me only had to pay .30 for a blue ray, 1 night rental.
