Happy Friday: Less for More
Sent from reader, Melinda:
I thought this could illustrate a Hip Tip to always pay attention to the sizes/pricing. This was from the cereal sale at Target last week where you buy 5 cereals and get a $5 gift card. As you can see from the picture, the smaller size box of corn pops was actually more expensive than the larger and both were included in promotion. So it just made sense to get the bigger box!
HAPPY FRIDAY! 😀

but the sign says 10-14oz boxes and the bigger box, while cheaper is listed as 21.4oz so it shouldn’t be included in the promotion..
The ad said other selected items were included..
Dillons has been doing this quite often too, where the larger box is on sale for a better price!
Wonder if they are clearing out the bigger sizes, so they can replace them with the smaller boxes while keeping price the same…? Companies do this a lot hoping consumers don’t notice:( Food is getting more expensive and it’s a way to keep their prices competitive.
That’s exactly what they are doing
It is kind of sad that a lot of people do not pay attention to this (especially hispanics), I am hispanic and always try to tell my friends that sometimes is better to buy bigger sizes, depending on the promotions.
By the way I was hoping that some one has an xtra Domino’s pizza coupon that will not be using. I can trade for coupons, have lots of them, like Caprisun, Pringles, Crest, Pantene, Libby’s, AlmondSilk, Olay and much more. Please email me at lucy_martinez@roadrunner dot com
The lucky charms was the same way, I almost got the smaller box because it had a free downloadable movie and the bigger box did not but really wanted the more cereal option:)
Happy Friday Savers!
A bit off topic but I missed out on Kmart’s facebook offer for 20,000 points when you spend $20. It’s no longer available and I was wondering if anyone already loaded it and wouldn’t mind parting with it. Please email me at lanailartist(at)gmail.com if you do. TIA
Have a great weekend!
It is cheaper to buy 2 30 count up&up claritins than 1 60 count. Weird!
I love corn pops
I noticed the same thing about a month ago when they had a deal on Head and Shoulders shampoo. The bigger bottle was the same price as the smaller one and both qualified for the deal.
