love the printable list – one quick question is there somewhere you define all the acronyms you use SS RP etc?

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

So glad you like it! Yes, SS = Smart Source, RP = Red Plum, PG = Proctor & Gamble. These are the various coupon inserts that come in the newspaper. Hope that helps!

      • Lucy

        Collin,

Question..for the Tide deal does the purchase amount have to be $30.00 or can it be $29.70? Is there a certain amount where you’ll still trigger the deal. I read your CVS coupon policy but didnt see anything there about the purchase differences. I’ve heard some people say you have to pay at least $29.98 and above others have stated lower amounts, whats the general amount for most CVS stores.

  2. kjyhome

love the printable! quick question do you have a list of the acronyms you use: SS RP etc?

    • Ape

      SS=smart source
      RP=red plum.
The name if the coupons you’ll find them in that come in the newspaper.

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

      See above 🙂

  3. Kidsallgone

Wait how is it possible that 2 people asked that same question??!!? Too funny!! I believe Collin has a post somewhere regarding your questions. Thanks so much for the deals Collin! Looks like a better week than last week 🙂

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

      You’re so welcome! 🙂

  4. Janice Greene

Love the new printable list feature!!!! I remember when back in the day I had to cut and paste the deals that I wanted into a Word document. My how far we’ve come!!!!

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

      🙂

    • jac

I’m loving the printable list feature, as well. It’s a big time saver, b/c it means only going through the list once (able to select deals AND print coupons from the same list at the same time). Thanks!

One suggestion: is it possible to put the printer icon at the bottom of the page? This would save a person from scrolling all the way back up to the top after working through the list.

Thanks so much for your hard work, and for constantly evolving to make h2s better all the time!

      • mel

There’s a little yellow box at the bottom right corner of your computer screen. It has an up arrow and says Back To Top. Click that and you don’t have to scroll!

  5. Ash

Never printed $3 Nexxus coupon. It’s says you have already printed. Anyone having problem ???

  6. Sara

Does the Starbucks coupon beep ?

    • Pam

      yes, it beeps.

  7. SaraSue92

Don’t the wet n wild coupons expire today?

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Darn! You are right…thanks for catching that!

  8. Merideth

I also love the new printable list. Beats cutting and pasting!

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

      YAY! 😀

  9. kashi

LOve the printable list….but it would be great if we can have mailing option of the selected deals…..that way I can use it on iphone instead of printing it….I am using the same options from another site “livingrichwithcoupons.com”.

    • katie

agreed…being able to email the list would be awesome! i like to have the list on my ipad when i’m out shopping, but i can’t print from my ipad, so i have to go through them on my computer, too. i normally copy and paste into an email to myself so i can easily see the deals i want in both places, but if i could email the checked list to myself, that would be even sweeter.

      • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Thanks for the suggestions! We will definitely look into that…

    • Lisa

I don’t know if this would help you or not, but I always look at Collin’s list on my iPhone. I then take a screen shot of which deal I want. I keep it for the whole week, delete on Sat., and start all over again. This way I have it!

  10. Andrea

I love the new printable list. Allows me to chose the deals as I read them and open new windows for the coupons. It was too annoying for me before so I never used it.

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

So glad you like it, Andrea!

  11. Julie

    Hi Collin,
Regarding the combos snacks at CVS, the coupon prints with a Walmart logo but it doesn’t say redeemable only at Walmart. Can we not use it at CVS? Thanks

    • AAD

CVS’ coupon policy forbids the use of coupons with other stores’ logos on them.

      • steph

I don’t see that anywhere in the coupon policy. This is part of what I copied from their website. Q. What type of coupons does CVS/pharmacy accept?

        A. CVS/pharmacy accepts CVS/pharmacy Coupons (ExtraBucks® Rewards, offers at register or printed from CVS.com®) and valid internet/print at home coupons containing a barcode. We also accept original third party manufacturer coupons that contain a barcode and must not be a reproduction or a rebate.

I use print at home coupons all the time with other stores logos on them and never have a problem. Maybe it is on a store by store basis.

        • Julie

Thank you for your response. I think my store will accept the coupons.

        • yuliya

I agree. Just used mine at CVS, it went through without beeping and my manager confirmed that since it says “manufacture coupon” it is acceptable at any CVS. HTH

          • daltonjsmom

I never have problems using these at my local CVS.

            • steph

Used the combos coupon at CVS this morning without issue.

  12. Patrcia

This is my first time using CVS (they opened the store this week) is the ecb like a catalina for your next purchase?

    • Brooke

Hi, Patrcia. Yes, an ECB is for use on your next purchase. You’ll love CVS! Couponing is easy there. Not all the crazy rules like Walgreens.

  13. Sharon

    LOVE the printable list!!!!!

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

      WooHoo! Thanks, Sharon!

  14. Patrcia

I copy and paste and delete what I am not interested in and then print it and take it to the store. I fold it and put the coupons in it. Guess I am old fashioned.

  15. Ash

OFF TOPIC: I have a Free code for Dominos pizza , if anyone wants to Trade it for Llbean 10 off 10, amazon or any GC email me. Ashumr23@ gmail. Com

  16. Amy Stotts

Just a reminder for the P&G rebate, the $30 has to be figured after coupons, so that receipt will have to be paired with others if you’re going to use the coupons.

Thanks, Collin! I, too, love the print feature!

    • Stephanie

But the total for the Tide is $31. Does coupons include the gift card too?

  17. Nithya

Someone please remind me – for the $10 gift card is it enough to hit 98% of $30 or do I have to spend $30 minimum ? TIA

    • mel

Yes, 98% is enough to get the GC.

      • Nithya

        Thank u !

  18. Nan

Love the printable feature! Thank you!

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

      YW Nan!

  19. Amy

thank u so much Collin for all u do for us! 🙂
one question… how can we make shopping list.. is there any way to put selected deal in a list and print it .. or see the list in mobile phone. some time i write in a paper or copy past and print. is there any other easier way. pls help me. i tried to read the “hip list ” but i dnt understand… 🙁

    thank u in adv.

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Yes! 🙂 Just click the check box next to the items you want to add to your printing list. Then click the little printer icon at the top of the post and all those items will show up in your list and you’ll be able to print it! Hope that helps! 🙂

      • amy

        thank u 🙂

  20. Mrs. Smith

    Hi ladies,

A bit off topic but I missed out on Kmart’s facebook offer for 20,000 points when you spend $20. It’s no longer available and I was wondering if anyone already loaded it and wouldn’t mind parting with it. Please email me at lanailartist(at)gmail.com if you do. TIA

    Have a great weekend!

  21. ish

Does CVS accept coupons on free items

    • Brooke

      Yes, they sure do!

      • ish

        Cool

  22. mel

If anyone did the Henkel offer (A+Value, Spend $20, get $10 in printable coupons), there is a $3.00/2 Purex Crystals that is in the set! Makes it $1 after coupon/ecb or .50 each!

  23. Lisa B

Anyone having an issue printing the Nexus $3 coupon. It says sorry you already printed, but I haven’t printed at all.

    • Ash

      Yes. I think it’s gone 🙁

  24. Carol_R

Does anyone know how CVS Percentage off coupons work with an EB deal where you have to reach a certain dollar amount?

For example, in the deal above, if I used a 25% off CVS coupon, would I have to buy more to reach the $30 or would it count before the 25% off CVS coupon was applied?

Spend $30 on Select Pantene Expert, Fekkai, John Frieda and L’Oreal Hair Care Products (excludes clearance) = $10 Ecb (limit 1)
    Deal Scenario:
Buy 4 Pantene Pro-V Expert Advanced+ Keratin Repair Shampoo 10.5 oz $8.99 (online price)
    Total = $35.96

    • Stephanie

You would just need to spend the $30 before any coupons. So your oop would be even better than the deal Collin posted. Hth

      • Carol_R

        Thanks.

    • April

At cvs. The percent off coupons normally exclude sale priced items

      • Stephanie

I don’t think that the Pantene expert is on sale though

        • AAD

Percent off coupons usually don’t work on items that give ECB either. The coupons are only good on full priced items and I guess CVS considers ECB to be a sale.

          • tef

They work on items with ECB always have.

          • Stephanie

I’ve used percent off coupons on things that produce ECB plenty of times.

            • steph

I have also, just not on sale items.

    • SJ

No, it’s all before coupons! So feel free to use a % off coupon!

  25. Melissa

I am having trouble printing. I clicked on the deals that I wanted and went to the print icon at the top right and it brings me to a list of ALL the deals even the ones that I did not mark. I tried to print it anyway thinking maybe it would only actually print the ones I checked but it started printing and said 1 of 24 pages….yikes!!!! Any suggestions???

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Hi Melissa! How strange! What type of computer and browser are you using?

  26. ash

On the cheerios deal on sale for $1.88 (limit 6) … it says as low as $.88 cents per a box yet the highest coupon listed is $.50 off 1 so wouldn’t that be as low as $1.33 per box? I am just checking to see if I am missing something cause $.88 cents sounds better to me! Thanks for the help

    • Stephanie

It’s a $0.50 coupon and the $.50 from Savingstar, so it makes it $.88.

      • ash

Thank you. I don’t use that saving star so I never look at that.

  27. Amanda

Can I use my 25% off CVS coupon on the Physicians Formula makeup, if its says not on sale items? The make up is not on sale it would be full price them receive an ECB? Thanks

    • AAD

No. Items that are on sale or give ECB do not work with percent off coupons.

      • Carol_R

The % off coupons work on non sale items that produce ExtraBucks.

    • beth

The % off coupon always works with non sale items, even when they produce extrabucks. Thats how it always has worked for me, and i have a very coupon strict store.

      • mel

Phys Formula is not on sale so a % coupon will apply.

    • Courtneyrmz

Amanda~ I ALWAYS use my %off emails intentionally on non sale items with ECB. The items like Colgate that say spend $10 get $5ECB.

      • Amanda

        Thank you everyone!

    • chrissy1925

I actually noticed about a month ago when I went to Reno, NV that I used my % off on the right guard deal I think that was buy $10 get $5 back. Each one was 5.49 but I used my 20% off and since the total dropped to under $10, it didn’t produce the ECB. The cashier was nice enough to force print it, but I figured it had changed or something so I haven’t tried it since. Can anyone verify if the rules have changed in CA or can I still use my % off with items that require a threshold to get ECB. Thanks.

      • mel

Some CVS stores are that are located in high tourist areas, ECB will not print. I live close to New Orleans and the CVS that is located in the French Quarter, is an example where the ECB will not print. Learned that when dh & I did a “staycation” over the summer and I did a spend deal. Itemsdidn’t even track on my receipt! Cashier said as long as you have the ad, they will force print it for you though.

Now, AFAIK, % off has never affected the spend deal. The reason being is it takes off a lump sum total at the bottom of your receipt. As long as the total is XX before any coupons, the ecb will print. If they went the Rite Aid route where the % off applies per line item, THEN you would have to figure the spend deal after the discount.
Sometimes, item UPCs are not in the system, and that might be another reason why you didn’t meet the spend amount.

  28. Beth

Thanks for the printable shopping list!! This way is so much easier! Thanks for all your hard work as well. Your site always has a very thorough match up list!

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Aww you’re so welcome, Beth! 🙂

  29. Jacki

Thanks for the printable list. Would it be possible to place the printable coupons on the same page with the item? That would be a remarkable time saver.

Also, the printer link is too close to the video link. Most of the time when I go to hit print the following appears: Latest Hip2Save Videos.

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Thanks for the suggestions! I’ll definitely look into it! 🙂

  30. Trish

I find it really weird that the last month or so every coupon that you say is in SS is never in mine 🙁 Do they all vary by area?

    • daltonjsmom

I have found in my area recently some of the coupons listed in one insert have actually been placed in the other insert. Doing lots of hunting for stuff!

    • Erica Williams

Mine too–soooo disappointing. I believe she must be in a completely different region than me (I’m in SW FL). I get this a lot w other blogs as well–it’s generally just SS. I’m realizing that I’m not only missing out on these deals but also they’re not showing deals for the coupons I DO have. 🙁

    • Erica Williams

Also, about the same time I started couponing and subscribed to the local newspaper, Red Plum pulled their inserts. They mail them to other parts of city but not my area 🙁 does anyone have a suggestion? TY

      • steph

I was having so much trouble every Sunday when our paper was delivered to our house that I cancelled our subscription. I now just pick one up that way I can quickly go through it and make sure the ads and inserts are inside. For me it was the same price either way but now it goes toward my monthly rewards at either Kroger or Meijer.

  31. Ash

Anyone knows % off coupon works on newspaper or Not ??

    • shopper

On the coupon in bold are the exclusions, newspaper is one

      • Ash

        Okay thanks!

    • daltonjsmom

You can use ECBs at my store (but I mostly buy them with points at Walgreens)…

    • Keishia

I had a percent off coupon that I was using for a few items and it ended up discounting the newspapers I was getting also. You might want to try getting something else if you’re buying newspapers. It may or may not work.

      • mel

it does exclude dairy and newspapers, but I have noticed it will take off for them anyway.

  32. daltonjsmom

I truly love the printable list feature in the new format! If you set it up for all the match-ups, it will eliminate the un-delete-able “If you can’t find this coupon” boxes I find so frustrating for Target! When you are ready for a new challenge, I would love if all the “like” deals could be together to make the actual shopping simpler. For example, all the oral care deals listed together, all the hair, etc. Or, have a way after the fact to move stuff around. Even though I flip through the print-out pages while in one area, I invariably forget something and end up running back and forth all morning…:)
    You are the best, Collin!

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

      Thanks for the suggestions! 🙂

  33. joyce

Loving the new printable list! so much easier to check the deals I want instead of having to delete all the ones I don’t. Great idea!

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Yay! Glad you like it, Joyce!

  34. Alison

My coupon machine also printed $2/1 fish oil. Fish oil was $5.79 at my store so I was able to combine BOGO and both $2/1 for 2 bottle for $1.79 total. Also, the physicians formula eyeshadow was $7.29 at my store. I hope others are able to find under $7!

    • Jeff

The concealer sticks were 6.79 at my store and it printed the ECB too if that helps anyone.

  35. Courtneyrmz

My CVS store accepts expired CVS coupons up to a month old & I was just curious what everyone else’s store accepts?

    • mel

Mine used to accept them 30 days expired, then changed to 14 days. Now they will only take them 2-3 days past. Another store I shop less frequently will not take expired CVS coupons at all. It really varies store to store.

    • Diane

You are fortunate! My store won’t take any expired CVS coupons.

  36. Teresa

THANK YOU!!!!! THANK YOU!!!!! THANK YOU!!!!! THANK YOU!!!!! THANK YOU!!!!! I am not being silly! I have wanted this feature on your site for so long and even mentioned it a time or two in comments. I’ve long thought your site was the best but now it truly is even better. Don’t know what you could do to improve…..unless you made a few more videos…hint, hint 😉

  37. Suzanne H

LOVE the change to the new printable list feature. The old version was helpful but you couldn’t click on the coupon links once you were in the mode to choose your deals. That made it difficult to use. Also, if you had a quick “trigger finger” and deleted something then thought better of it, you had to start completely over. This version is SO much better!!!! Thank you.

  38. Kerryiu

My SavingStar rebate was just deposited in my account but it’s only for $0.72 for the Reese’s deal, not the $1.19 as expected. I did the exact deal too. Did i miss something? Anyone else have this same issue?

    • mel

The same thing happened to me for the Gree Mentos. They were on sale Buy 1, Get 2nd for .25. I was only credited $0.72 (which is $1.19 + $0.25 = $1.44/2 = $0.72) It has to do with the way CVS has it in the system how the info gets sent to Savingstar. A few days later I got a $0.44 credit. If they don’t credit the difference in a few days, send them an email. They are really good at responding and fixing credit issues.

      • mel
