Just and FYI…my local Staples said that they are no longer taking coupons that are from the internet, only those that are from magazines or their own catalog. Apparently they have had issues with some people copying the coupons and using 20 at a time.

The manager said that at the moment this is store policy only and not corporate policy. However, almost all of the Staples in my area are doing this and another manager said that they are starting to let corporate know that this should be corporate coupon policy.

Just a heads up, hope you all have better luck than I had last week.

    Happy shopping!!

When a store refuses a manufacturer’s coupon and has it posted anywhere in their store that they DO, they’ve violated the Deceptive and Unfair Business Practices Act.

I’ve had to personally take action on this several times this years (businesses unnamed).

The next time you get told that:

      1. Write down the name and address of the store location where you’re at.
      2. Affirm the name on the nametag(s) of the person(s) you spoke to in the store.
      3. Write a short narrative of the events that happened when you were there.
      4. Mail an official complaint to your state’s Attorney General’s office.

You will receive a response and a decision; regardless of how small your complaint is. As the consumer, they are 99% of the time going to be in your favor; provided you give a detailed and accurate description of the events that transpired.

      Just some thoughts…

      If it helps, great.

Well, then I’ll take my business to other store.

Could someone tell me how their price match works. Walmart has iPads on sale again this week and I want to get the best deal. Thanks!

    • John

      To Tracee2:

You just go in and tell them. If the price is more than $20 additionally discounted from Walmart’s price, they either check in the computer system of they call the competitor to verify. But, some good advice: don’t do the price match in a rough neighborhood Wal-mart. Many managers think people who are just trying to get a discount (and are lying) come into those locations.

If you have the physical ad or a printout from the Internet, bring that in as an added precaution. The stores can vary sometimes and get a little weird.

Does anybody know of a deal on graphing calculators? My son just informed me that he needs one. Thanks!
