Preschool Prep’s DVDs captivate children with educational material that’s garnered more than 25 awards. By anthropomorphizing numbers, letters, and colors, the DVDs help children aged 9 months to 7 years easily recognize the characters and understand their functions. Advanced lessons in phonics and sight words deepen a budding reader’s understanding and respect for the written word, even when it’s written mockingly on their forehead as they sleep.

I purchased this and so did several of my friends- it’s great!
Hi CW—-how old are the kids you purchased this for? I’m on the fence if I should buy it or not. Thanks!
Ages 5-6. Same with my other friends. But if the child is younger that’s ok too (like 3-4). I just wouldn’t play the full hour of the ones that are 60 minutes in that case – make it shorter. Some of them are 30 min.
We’ve used them and found them helpful, though we were able to check them out from our local library. You may want to look there before you purchase.
Great idea! I just put in a hold request at our library!
Thanks for the heads up! I’ve been wanting to try these but couldn’t spend that much money purchasing them.
I have a 4 year old and my sister has a 1 1/2 year old. We split the cost. She took shapes, colors, letter names and I kept the 3 sight word videos and sounds ones. I’ll pass them on to her when I’m done.
Highly recommend! I have a 4 yr old & 2 yr old….both can spot sight words now, but our 4 year old is starting to read. We’ve only been using it for 5 weeks.
We prefer the Brainquest workbooks and flashcards.
I have heard great things about this program. The lady that is over our counties preschool programs, highly recommends this!
I purchased these and my child enjoyed them, but I was disappointed to learn they had them at my local library. Could have save a lot of money by just checking them out!
These are great!!! My husband’s grandma bought this box set for our sons about a year ago. The boys loved them and still love to watch them. They’re also great in entertaining the little guys while mommy cuts coupons or does a couple chores. Our boys are 3 years old and 2 years old…as said above, they can spot words and recognize them right away. Both are very good with letters, shapes, numbers, colors, but our 3 year old can actually read a few books now. But just to warn parents…they’re very repetitive so you may get bored if watching along with your little ones, lol! But no worries, the videos keep the kids’ attention 🙂
Totally agree on the repetition – I think the Color words nearly sent me over the edge -lol- but the kids love it!
These are amazing. I have been renting them from amazon for $2 a week and my kids have learned so much!
My kids love these. We have been renting them for $2 for seven days on amazon then using the .99 cent app for reinforcement! My 4.5 and 2.5 boys love the meet the sight words movies!
My two year old was always fascinated with letters – when he saw these videos in an educational store, he was transfixed. He taught himself to “read” after I bought Meet The Sight Words DVD set and their accompanying books. It began with memorizing the sight words, of course, but now in first grade he is reading a full year above grade level and still loves reading.
These are great. My 4 year old son knows all the sight words and can sounds out words, while my 17 month old knows all her letters, colors, shapes, numbers AND can recognize and say about 25 sight words. Just from watching these for about 20 minutes a day. (I usually just turn them on in the car while waiting outside the school to pick up my older daughter.)
I would say your 17m old is a talker and just naturally a quick learner. Will not work that way for most that young, but its a great starting point
Anybody know of any coupon codes going on for Groupon right now that you can use with these?
I know! That would be great! I’m debating on buying these.
