Microsoft Office is currently offering up FREE Microsoft Office 365 Education completely FREE to students who are enrolled at qualifying schools. With this download, students will be able to install Office on up to 5 PCs or Macs and on other mobile devices, including Windows tablets and iPads. You’ll get the latest versions of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote, Outlook, Access and Publisher, 1 Terabyte of OneDrive cloud storage, and Office Online! Go here and enter your school email to see if you qualify or here for more details.

Also, teachers in the U.S. will be able to sign up for Office 365 ProPlus in October, which will allow them to access the same Office 365 ProPlus benefit as their students. This means that any organization purchasing Office for all of their faculty and staff can now include an Office 365 ProPlus subscription at no extra cost for all students, faculty and staff. It also gives them access to all their Office documents both at school and at home. With Office 365 ProPlus, teachers can take advantage of great Office apps and add-ins like Office Mix to record and publish class lectures.

Don’t know where to post this but does anybody else have a problem with they’re samples arriving opened? Just got another on my doorstep today with the seal literally cut through. I’ve had boxes torn and opened. It doesn’t help when the packages say, “Here’s your free sample”, I guess. Going to bring it up to the post office.

Collin, do you know how long this offer will last my laptop has gone out and I will be getting another one within the next 2 weeks. I was hoping to put it on the new one depending on how long the offer last. If my school qualify of course.

Obviously I can’t say this with 100% certainty, but I just went and tried to sign up with my old college email address from 5+ years ago and it told me I already had a license and allowed me to install the software. My guess this is something that is ongoing but not always advertised.

      • Dollbaby's mom

        Ok thanks

  5. CW

It didnt recognize my school email address so I guess I/my school/my district doesnt qualify????

  7. Mary

I think I am having success at getting it set up!

  8. Starla

This is not a “deal” or an “offer” technically. It won’t expire. As long as your school has purchased Office 365, you can download 5 copies of it. We were told about this at a technology in education conference this summer. Each student gets 5 copies to download! Its awesome of Microsoft to do this!

  9. Laura

Cool I just put in my sons edu address and it worked!

  10. Melissa in KS

    Awesome!

  21. lori

Same thing happened to me. It allowed me to download then when it asked for the email on the acct it denied full access. Is this happening to others?

    • Kathy

      yes..I wonder what to do?

    • Keren

Yes same here. I don’t know why either. I was all excited then I got the message to enter my school email to activate and it denied access. πŸ™

  22. Lorisa Jimenez

I might be dumb at this but i’m trying to get it for my kids but the school that they are going to doesn’t have a school email address. It only has the teachers email and principal’s. Do all schools and colleges have an email address. This would be great for my kids!! Help!!

    • Ann

I believe your kids must have their own school email address. Not sure what institution your kids go to, but if they don’t have their own, it won’t work. πŸ™

  23. traci

Most colleges and universities give students a free school email address. it ends in “.edu” these accoutns are eilgibile. The office they have is 2011.

  24. Jenny

It allowed me to download, but I can only access the online version of it too!

  25. Kathy

It allowed me to get to the download part but now says not recognized. What to do?

  26. bethany

it just brings me to there site with basically just a search bar and a red x below it..i add my email in search box but it just brings me to like a google search result type thing?? am i doing something wrong??

  27. Sara

For those of you whose schools aren’t participating – many universities actually provide free downloads for Microsoft Office and other programs, such as statistical software. I’ve found that it often isn’t advertised broadly, so check with your school and/or search your school’s website for software downloads!

  28. Ann

    Darn, my school isn’t eligible!

  29. Edy

I’m confused πŸ™ I have an email account set up at my Community Collage. But it says to put in your school email address. Which one is it ?Help?

  30. Tre

Idk if anyone else is having this problem but when I go to download it just says working on it….. its been saying this for the past 40 mins. does anyone know how to fix this? it told me that I was already registered but when I typed in my school email it didn’t do anything
