    Wowza! Way to go 😛

  2. Autumn

I wonder how much $$$ was spent on groceries to save that much on gas…

    • meg

Not as much as u might think…I do this also at giant eagle. They double coupons and have amazing sales!

    • JA

Gift card purchases also count towards your fuel savings.

  3. Deanna

Am I really seeing that gas is $3.14 a gallon in Georgia? Wholly smokes… Still $3.65-3.85 a gallon in Oregon….

    • CW

We are close to that too in FL!

    • Crescent City Couponer

The average price is $3.09 in NOLA. At Costco & Sam’s, it’s been $2.91. Have you tried checking GasBuddy to find the best prices in your area?

    • Mia

I feel you pain 🙂 Around $4 in WA. Cheapest I can find is in Portland at Costco 🙂

    • Guest

I found it $2.99 in Jackson ms the other day so I filled it up! But I just got lucky to find it that cheap!!!!

      • Jessica

I live around Jackson too! Sure love seeing the gas prices go down!

      • Jessica

Oh and Richland has pretty cheap gas. I find it at $2.99 there quite a bit.

    • Alma

      $4 in Washington 🙁

      • L

You’re the 2nd person that has said $4 in WA! Where in WA are you guys at? I’m in Tacoma and we’re around $3.43

    • Aly

$3.48 a gal in MT. Wish we could see less than $3 a gal in the West! 🙂

      • Jen

2.98 in South Alabama for the past week!! Woowoo!!!!

    • shopper

It could be the price after her accumulated amount was taken off the retail price.

      • Guest

        $4 for me as well👎

    • Christine

Ha! In nj, I’ve been regularly paying around $2.99 for a couple months. And we don’t have to get out to pump it 😁

    • Nvs

Ha, try $4.18 here in DC. Can’t lie I’m a little jealous.

  4. Julie M

Her savings are amazing, but the fact that gas is only $3.149 per gallon where she lives makes me even more jealous!

    • Shalini

It was 2.95 here in NW Louisiana yesterday.

      • ASHLEY

I’m in NW Louisiana too! 🙂

  5. Danielle

          Sioux falls

  6. Clifton

    3.07 here 🙂

  7. Deanna

Lucky ducks…. Fuel prices and discounts!! Both Fred Meyer and Safeway limit max savings on 25gal at $1.00 savings…. Even if you have more than that in points, thats the limits. I hope the lower fuel prices are heading west. Oooh please, please, please!

  8. tilla ham

the only gas rewards in my are are safeway and fred meyer which limit the discount to $1.00 per gallon. I usually have $1.00 off. gas has gone down about 20 cents in the last few days, and is now at 3.45 by my house, news just said gas should fall below 3.00 a gallon everywhere because increased production, cheaper middle east gas, and one other reason that i don’t recall

  9. Lindak

Great savings! Kroger also gives fuel points for prescriptions and if you fill out the survey on the register tape you can pick up another 50 points. Gas was $3.11 yesterday, $3.29 today, Dallas area.

    • Alley

I used my kroger card yesterday and saved 60 cent a gallon and paid 2.49 a gallon for gas. I was siked.

      • Queenjen87

I like that at Kroger, but I transfer back n forth to kmart for $25 gc or rx bucks each month 🙂 so $25 ea mo for an rx that is free and 50 fuel points every other month 🙂 love it (Kroger takes competitor transfer coupons)

  10. K

We have a chain of gas stations that offer 10¢ off per gallon if you use their loyalty card. You link your debit card to it so it automatically deducts from your checking account.

  11. Yoli

Great Savings!!! PA gas was $3.28 today. My local news said expect gas prices to lower this fall/winter can’t wait!!!

    • Renee

Wow! My PA gas is down to $3.45 now!

  12. Ashley

Our gas is $2.99 to $3.15 here in TN

  13. Amy

$3.16 at BJs Wholesale in Ft. Lauderdale, FL.

  14. Rosana

Way to go!!! Off topic you guys might want to check your shopyourwayrewards my husband and I had $5 to spend exp. 9/29 and I checked because my husband got a text on his phone but I didn’t and still had the $5.

    • Guest

I had a $10/10 but it wouldn’t load correctly at checkout so I called and they just added a $10 bonus in points to my account!!

      • rosana

        awesome!

  15. Rebecca

Everyone pays the same for gas, give or take a little, the difference state to state is the tax that is added. I live in NC, we have one of the highest state tax on gas in the country.

    • Suz

Also am in NC and that is so true about the taxes! Am seeing gas near me for about 3.129. Usually have 10 cents off per gallon from Lowes Foods but have small car/tank so that only gets me 80 cents to 1 dollar off on a fill up.

  16. Mia

    $3.79 in good all CT!
We do have Stop & Shop which can earn me up to $2.20 off…

  17. Rowen

Last time I filled up, gas was 3.69… Here in nh.

    • amanda

Feel your pain in MA. Last time i filled up it was 3.30 at costco

  18. Loyda

Here in the Dominican Republic 1 gallon costs about $6 dollars 🙁

  19. Loyda

Here in the Dominican Republic 1 gallon costs about $6 dollars

  20. Stevmon4

    That’s awesome!

  21. Amanda C

Wow that is amazing! Gas in MI is 3.65 a gallon right now…I know Krogers does the fuel rewards but the most I’ve been able to save is $0.60 per gallon, which is great but I get better bargains on groceries at Target soooo yeah. I wish Target sold gas LOL 😉

    • Alea

Where in Michigan are you? I’m in Plymouth and quite a few places had it at $3.35 a gallon today.

    • lori ogbuji

But at your Kroger, do you buy the gift card for Target? That will get you extra points for gas.

    • Diane

Kroger is currently offering 4x the points for gift cards so each $25.00 gift card earns you .10 off gas. It ends in early Oct. you do have to load a coupon onto your Kroger card.

  22. Amber

$3.47 in SoCal. I would love anything under $3

  23. Alea

Awesome savings, but the most we can save here is $1 a gallon up to 35 gallons from Kroger. Not complaining though, any savings at the pump are greatly appreciated!!

  24. Erin

I think it’s kind of like houses are cheaper down here in the South too — everything is cheaper, including gas, but we don’t make as much money down here either, so we really don’t get any further.

  25. lj

Just put gas in tonight at 2.93/gal. Its under 3.00 most places in upstate sc.

  26. Ann

The best gas deal I have ever seen is at Harris Teeter. When you spend $50 on groceries you can buy 1 $50 gas card for BP, Shell or Gate for $40. I love my Harris Teeter.

    • Suz

Wow! Have never seen that deal at Harris Teeter in my area (central NC). Where are you?

      • Ann

Suz, I am near Charlotte NC. I know it is valid in Ft. Mill and Rock Hill, SC too.

        • Ann

Occasionally Publix will offer the same deal but for them you need a coupon from their sales flyer or website.

  27. Val

At Giant (just like Stop & Shop) we can get up to $2.20 off per gallon, with 35 gallons max. During the 5X VISA/AMEX promos, we ‘roll’ the cards and stock up. We’ve been averaging under $1.00 per gallon for about 2-3 years now. My DH got these huge storage barrels from CraigsList, so during the lean gas points weeks, we have literally 100’s of gallons in storage. We also have at least 15-20 red 5 gal gas cans, some of which we got free with K-Mart points and some of which were purchased when Auto Zone has the $50 off $100 coupons. We work as a team, I get the points and he gets the gas and makes sure all our cars and trucks are always full. There are some awesome members of a shopping forum I belong to who post the ‘gas points’ deals ahead of time on Monday, which gives us an opportunity to buy the coupons in time for Friday when the new circular starts. I’m sharing all this info, not to brag, but to educate all you Giant and Stop&Shop people about the potential you have for extremely cheap gas. It takes a little effort, but the savings are HUGE. Thanks to the OP who sent in her receipt, which is AMAZING 🙂 and for bringing the topic up.

  28. Taylor

Val– that is SO awesome and so thrifty!!!! Good for you 🙂

  29. lae

no savings on gas here in NJ………… and we don’t get to pump our own gas….boo! I wish we could pump our own gas!
