Thanks for the heads up. I did this deal both times it was offered before and already received my rebates. I waited until they were on sale at another store and price matched. I think we had higher value hamburger helper coupons though.

    • Andrea

Can you only get a pound of ground beef like shown or 6.92 worth of beef if it is cheaper

      • Ohiogirl

I only bought one pound of ground beef and received only what I paid for the beef, which was $4 and some change. If anyone else did this before and had luck doing it the other way, please share!

        • Megan

I bought larger packages of ground beef on sale and got refunded the $6.92. I spent a dollar or two more out of pocket, but ended up with 3 lbs. instead of 1.

According to my walmart, corporate just changed their policy and will not price match meat as it is not an identical product. It is considered a store brand and they won’t price match. Now if it is a specific brand that they carry, they will.

Also, I just received my rebate in the mail from last time. Took a few months to get it.

      • Ohiogirl

Sorry should have clarified, I price matched the hamburger helper.

  2. Meryl

does it have to be on the same receipt? I don’t know if Walmart has the kind of ground beef I want.

  3. frugaljohn

So when I select the coupon (rebate) to print…It clearly says that the rebate will print on a full page. However, for me it printed as a regular coupon. Did anyone else have this problem or anyone know of another place I can print the rebate form?

    • Tracy

I had the same problem. All I got was a coupon. No form.

  4. Stacy

LOL…but who would buy Hamburger Helper?? Maybe to donate to a food bank…

    • Guest

That’s a little rude and insensitive. Everything that you think doesn’t always need to be said. I bet if that’s the only thing you had to eat, you’d eat it.

I’m in Southern California and we have Big Lots (FKA Pic ‘n’ Save … I guess I’m old.;) and their ad this week has Hamburger Helper for $1. So, if your lucky enough to have received this in the mail/paper … Or happen to have one near you to pick up an ad (if they offer them) you should be able to price match this at WalMart. 3x$1 -$.84 = $2.16 or $.72Each.

    • Noel

      *you’re … I hate that.

  6. Jessica

Woohoo! I can afford ground beef again! Or at least this week. I sure do have a Big Lots near my WM store so I will be price matching. Nothing wrong with Hamb Helper, you do what you can with what you have. If you’re lucky enough to have “options” for dinner, then great! If not, be thankful for what you do get and move on with it.

    • Brooke

Hi, Jessica! I thought of you when I saw this deal after your post on the enchilada recipe about the price of ground beef. Enjoy your big, juicy burger!!😃

    • Angel13

Totally Agree with you Jessica……..Be thankful for the food we can eat and while eating think of all those who are starving especially the hungry children around the world. I have seen kids eat from dumpsters.

  7. Heather M

FYI – last time the rebate did not specify the amount of ground beef – it just said up to $6.44. This time it specifies 1 pound. YMMV if you decide to go with a larger package of meat.

  8. Sara

I have a lot of success halving the quantity of hamburger called for in recipes and increasing the carb or starch, as in double the quantity of rice, noodles, potatoes or veggies!!

  9. Ingrid

Having already gotten this deal at Wmart today (our HH was 1.50ea) anyways I was strolling through Publix and just found their HH’s are BOGO. I believe it was 1.80 something bogo. I didn’t see where you had to go to Wmarts for this rebate and today is the last day of the Publix sale in our area. Drat I could’ve gotten the HH cheaper at Publix!

    • Sara

Ingrid can you use the WM saving catcher app to price match??

      • Ingrid

Ohh good thought Sara! I don’t shop at Wmart much and keep forgetting the savings catcher….thanks!!

  10. ash

I just saw hamburger was one a b1g1 free at food lion

  11. crissy

I was wondering the same thing as Meryl. Does the hamburger and hamburger helper have to be on the same receipt? Dollar General has a bogo but obviously I couldn’t get the hamburger there

    • Jill

The form states receipt so it looks like it all has to be purchased at the same time.

  12. Brooke

I just noticed a Kroger digital coupon for $2/4 that expires 10/4. Not sure what the price is there.

  13. robin

Also Saving Star had 50cent rebate on ONE Hamburger Helper that you can submit for.

  14. Fran Goodman

I’d just like to know why you’d need 3 boxes of Hamburger Helper for 1 lb of hamburger? LOL

  15. Jill

On the rebate form it says, “not combinable with other offers.” I thought that meant coupons couldn’t be used in conjunction with this rebate.

  16. Sandra @ My Frugal Savings

    Thanks! Going this weekend.

  17. Shauna

Save a lot advertised hambuger helper 10 for $10 in my area this week so I think that is the best price I’ve seen. I want to be sure I can use a coupon in conjunction with this deal though. I have a $0.75 coupon off 3 which will double. To the person who asked why you would need three boxes for one lb of hamburger…not everyone uses a full lb of hamburger per box. Actually that much hamburger to pasta ratio makes me ill. I use 1/4 lb to 1/3 lb per box. It’s more than enough for a small family when you add in a bag of veggies on the side.

  18. Melani

Just got off the phone with customer service. They want all of the purchases on one receipt. He was unaware that the form was printing out without lines for name, address, etc. He said you should just write your name and address on the blank area on the right side.

  19. Amy

I printed the form but my ink was low so I can’t read a lot of it very clearly. I tried to print again but it won’t let me. Can anyone tell me the address where the rebate needs to be mailed and also exactly what needs to be mailed (rebate form, receipt, etc.)? Thank you!
