If you’re looking for something fun to do with the kiddos this evening, head on over to your local LEGO Store (if you have one nearby). Starting at 5PM, kids can learn how to build a LEGO Mini Monster (while supplies last)! Even sweeter, the kiddos will get to take their project home for FREE! Keep in mind that this mini model build event is for kids ages 6 to 14.

Does anyone know how strict they are on age at these builds? My 5.5 yr old has been dying to go to one for the last year. I know Home Depot has age recommendations but my husband takes my 3 yr old along when they go and it’s no problem. I’m wondering if its the same with Lego. Thanks!!

Im wondering the same.. Although my son is much younger than 6…

My 3yo is still to young but loves Lego so I get two tickets when we line up, do the build with my older one, then the ticket states, at 5:30 they will begin trading unused tickets for kit to take home, then my younger has one to build. Hope this helps.

Depends on your store, our store is very strict & makes up so many additional rules it spoils the fun. But store we used to live by was very lax. In my own opinion I think your son would be fine, totally worth trying!

It depends on your store. There’s such a high demand with really long lines during build nights at our local lego store that they strictly enforce the age requirement so my 4 year old is always disappointed but is ok sharing with his older sis who is 6

My Son has been doing them since just before he turned 5

It does depend on the store. The one near us is very strict. A couple of months ago you had to stand on line (usually about 30 mins long) and then had to build the item in store (you couldn’t take it home to build if you were running late.) Now, they hand out tickets at 4:00pm for set increments of 5:00pm, 5:30pm, etc. Anything that is left over apparently gets sent back. I think its nice that other stores allow you to take home a set if there’s leftover.
