If you are a current or past AT&T Mobile customer (AT&T customers after January 1, 2009 are eligible) and you believe that you may have been charged by AT&T for unauthorized third-party charges (like subscriptions for ringtones and text message subscriptions for horoscopes, celebrity gossip, and flirting tips), then you may be entitled to a refund.

To submit your claim, head here and complete the form no later than May 1, 2015. To request a refund, you will need either the AT&T billing account number or mobile phone number for the affected account. If you are unsure if you are eligible for a refund, contact the FTC’s refund contractor at 1-877-819-9692 for more information.

Are you wondering what these lawsuits are about? In its complaint against AT&T, the FTC alleges that AT&T billed its customers for hundreds of millions of dollars in charges originated by other companies, usually in amounts of $9.99 per month, for subscriptions for ringtones and text messages containing love tips, horoscopes, and “fun facts.” Click here for more information. at&t always tried to add new things to my account. i checked my bill every month and would call them and make them remove the extra charges. i should make a claim but i dont know if i can since i just switched from at&t last week to metropcs 4 lines for $100 and they work better then at&t. we dont really use our phones much

At &T added an extra service to our account many years ago, (probably 2004). We paid it for a while til we caught it on our bill and had it removed. We haven’t been an at&t customer for several months but I am still submitting a claim.
We will probably get a $15 refund while the lawyers get $several million.

I got something from t – mobile for the same thing.

This really did happen to me all the time! When I noticed I had to start calling them almost every month for bogus charges. At first I blamed my husband’s teenage daughter. πŸ™

We got our new phones recently and they added a roadside service. Luckily my dh is really good at numbers that he discovered the problem and had them refund the amt and take the service off. I’m sure many just blindly pay the fees each month thinking that they will just trust what is billed. Be careful out there all these company’s just want your money before you are aware of the extra charges.

I had one or two of these, but I called them and they took it off my bill. Guess I wouldn’t get anything else then I guess ?

Can I say: I told you so AT&T — when we got our 3rd party charges which we didn’t even use it, AT&T said it was not them so they can’t refund it, after we paid, called and canceled, the charges came back on next month bill……><" we were not happy, and AT&T told us that we didn't call the 3rd party to cancel!?!???? We dropped their service the next month and we told them it's not right what they did to us, now I hope AT&T really understand and do better.

Waiting for verizon to be sued again. This happened to my mom last year… but the last class action lawsuit about it occurred in 2012. Really?

I remember this happening to my mother-in-law. She would just blindly pay every bill that showed up at her house. I finally looked at her bill and questioned her about it, but she had no idea. She did call and got it taken off. But there is no way she will know anymore details than that. How much detail needs to be known to make a claim?

We were AT&T for about 7 years…I had too much! Loving Republic Wireless with unlimited text and calls for $10/mo!
