Heads up Walgreens shoppers! Starting tomorrow, October 26th,  the Walgreens weekly ad will have a $5 off ANY Halloween costumes coupon inside! From looking at the coupon, there appears to be no exclusion and you can score $5 off up to 3 costumes. Pretty sweet! I went to Walgreens yesterday and was surprised to see a couple of costumes on clearance for just $6.59, which means they’ll be only $1.59 after the $5 coupon (if they are still available tomorrow).
I thought it was worth giving you all a heads up on, especially if you are planning to head there tomorrow. So be sure to keep your eyes peeled for clearance Halloween costumes which should make for some *HOT* deals after the $5 coupon!

Did u happen to see any costumes for boys

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Hello! The only 2 varieties that were on clearance at my store were the Bumble Bee and the Vampire. However, there were lots of other costumes that were not marked.

      • ish

Dam, i just went to walgreens to check for any clearance, even though the coupon is not valid till tomorrow, but didnt see any for around $6, i price checked the ones that werent marked and they were $10 and up, i guess $5 for costumes aint that bad, but wouldve been nice for cheaper, im in the monterey county in california.

  2. Dani

I got both my son’s costumes there last year (although not clearance, but I did use an either $5 or $10 off costume coupon so that helped). They surprisingly have a great and large collection of costumes there!
Ill be in town tomorrow to let me kids pick out this years get ups so ill be sure to check out wags first again! 🙂

  3. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

    That’s awesome! 🙂

  4. Maile

I saw adult costume kit on clearance for $5.19. Do you think the in-ad Q would work on this since it is labelled as a costume but is only accessories? Would love to get it for 19 cents! Also, my store had several varieties of kids costumes clearanced at $6.59 including cute puffy monsters and witches if that helps anyone.

    • Amy

I tried to use the $5 Q on the adult costume kit this morning and it did not work.

  5. Allyson

Thanks! I love getting inexpensive costumes for my daughter to use for dress up year round.

  6. Darla

I think I am going to check this out too tomorrow. Don’t need costumes for Halloween but we like to dress up!

  7. Dollbaby's mom

I went today and they had Halloween coloring books for .14 cents. I have a 2 year old that love to color. I racked up 4 her and her cousins.

  8. Akila

Is there weekly ad in the store or in the Sunday’s paper?

    • ish

      Both

  9. ihearthip

Got my daughters costume there last week. 50% off so it was only $3!

  10. Krystal

I was able to score a ladybug and bumble bee for $1.59 each! I also scored a princess costume for $5, awesome! Thanks for the heads up 🙂

  11. Amy

My local Walgreens had all child Halloween costumes for 75% off, making all costumes $20 and under on sale for only $5… FREE after the costume coupon!

  12. Brittnay Perry

I am so disappointed. My one and only Walgreens here in town does not have any costumes on clearance. Or accessories. Everything is still marked up as regular priced. Guess I will have to snag some deals up after the 31st.

    • Mer

Did you price check? Mine weren’t marked but were on clearance.

      • Rainey Daye

Yep, same here. ONE of the Disney princess costumes had a clearance tag on it, so I chanced it and asked them to price check some other things that were not marked and they were ringing up for half off.

  13. Crystal M.

    Anybody score in so cal?

  14. M

They only let me get one even though the limit was 3 at my store. Did anyone have that problem and the 2 off chai razor latte coupon would not work at my walmart anyone have the same problem

  15. Jen

I went today and our store here in south Alabama had a ton of clearance costumes! We got a cat costume and two soft furry costume capes..one with the hoodie being a owl and the other a cat..they were like a soft blanket more so than a cape tho..the register wouldn’t take the coupon and so the cashier called the manager and they overrode it because it didn’t have an exclusion of clearance stated! All three only 1.59 each! They also had licensed Cinderella and Minnie Mouse costumes for 13.99 before the coupon so that is awesome!

  16. Julie

Our Walgreens also would not honor the coupon on clearance costumes, even though the coupon did not have any exclusions. They also only allowed it to be used on 1 costume rather than 3.

  17. Kimberly

This is a great deal I got costumes as lows as $.19, my niece has a play area with costumes at my house and this was too good to be true!
    Thanks for letting us know.

  18. Kp

I paid $1.26 for 3 costumes. very happy. thanks for the heads up

  19. Rainey Daye

Just got back a bit ago…was about 4pm when I got there and unfortunately the boy costumes that would work for my 5 year old were all picked over. Did get him a pirate costume for $5-something and got a generic fairy princess one for my daughter for $8.99 (very shiny and cute). They also had some Disney princess ones as well for $8.99 after coupon, but I restrained myself…lol!! Then I was able to get two ladybug costumes (wings, tutu, headband, and wand) and one bumblebee costume (wings, tutu, stinger, and wand) for $1.59 each. I will keep the fairy princess costume, one of the ladybug costumes, and the bumblebee costume for my girlie to have in her dress-up drawer (since she already has a hand me down monkey costume from her brother AND a flower costume I had already bought her to wear for her two Halloween things this year…lol)!! We will give the extra ladybug costume to her best friend. My son will probably wear his pirate costume for Halloween (if I don’t make him a pumpkin costume) but he will have it for dress-up in any case. Not bad for a $20 purchase!!

  20. Terezia

I just went to my Walgreens, got a pirate girls costume and a skeleton costume, they allowed the coupon on clearance and it worked for both no problems, so $1.59 each. :). I may check another Walgreens tomorrow to see what others I can find.

    • Yoli

Great find! I too took advantage of this deal. I snagged a total of 12 costumes for $5.16 (different transactions). I have some to family and kept the rest for my daughter to play dress up with. I will be heading to another Walgreens in the morning, see what different costumes I can find for the same deal. Doesn’t hurt to but next years costume this year lol.

  21. Melinda Marie

I did this early this morning as well. Some of the costumes were only $3.19 prior to coupon and free after. I went to a few different stores that were open (24hr Walgreens) I scored 23 costumes FREE!!! LOVE IT!

    • Yoli

Great!!! I went back today and grabbed more costumes for free. I will be using them for my daughters birthday party next year, as favors for the little girls. The ones at my location that were $3.16 and free after the coupon was the wing, wand and head piece costume sets. My store had some purple and pink fairy wings, so those are the ones I plan to give out for her party. They were all free!!

      • Melinda Marie

I did the same thing. I have so many for her birthday party too 😉

  22. swarada

    At what location it is?

    • Yoli

Hi swarada. It’s at Walgreens. Keep in mind that sales and availability depends on location. So far all the post indicate that this sale is pretty much all over the U.S. Good luck in your finds!

  23. Erin

Scored 5 costumes: a toddler pirate, toddler vampire, infant skeleton, infant cat and infant spider for $6. My three kiddos were super excited. Thanks for the post, Collin!

  24. Jan

The coupon works on costumes, but not costume accessories like capes or hats. I paid $0.19 for a child’s costume.

  25. Robin

Sooo I found a costume for $3 and the coupon brought it down to $0. Then the manager came over and said it was a glitch in the system and he couldn’t honor it. I love when they make up rules on the fly.

    • Yoli

Hi Robin. I would have definitely argued that. Thank goodness not all managers are that ignorant to couponing, the manager at one of the Walgreens I visited was so stunned by my transaction that she headed to the floor to snag a few for her girls. Some cashiers did the same. Did you get the deal or was it final with that phony “rule”? Perhaps try another Walgreens.

  26. Me

I first bought the sharpies! then bought a costumes for ONLY .59 Used the $5 coupon & $2 rewards from the Sharpies 🙂

  27. nicole

I just went to my local walgreens and the coupons didn’t work for me. I was told by the store manager they aren’t valid on clearance items 🙁

    • Yoli

Hi Nicole. I would have argued that too. The coupon doesn’t specify “not valid on sale or clearance”. You should have been able to use it. I’m not sure if it could have been store policy, but I doubt it. I’m sure the cash register wouldn’t have accepted it, it did- so keep it moving huh. Perhaps try again at a different Walgreens.

  28. Angela

I went today and got several costumes. The cashiers were very impressed by the deals. I found a cute owl toddler costume and am hoping it is discounted by Thursday when I go back. If not my two yr old shall be a Ninja!

  29. Diana

I found a pirate princess costume and spider for $3.59 for both! Sign stated all costumes were 25% off. Spider reg $12.99 but rang up $6.59. Awesome score! I didn’t know the owl and bat capes were so cheap too! I will go back tom 🙂

  30. Angela

My Walgreens wouldn’t let me use the coupon. So frustrating!
