Curious, what do you use your for? I’m thinking this would be great for when I make bulk refried beans or bean dip. Maybe soup?

    • Erin

Yes to all the above! I use mine on crockpot refried beans and soups and sauces. They can also be used for milkshakes if you have the one that comes with the cup/beaker.

We use it to make homemade mayonnaise which is so good, cheap, and easy plus no preservatives or other weird ingredients. It is also great for pureeing soup right in the stockpot.

    • Rae

That’s what ours gets used for the most! Avocado oil mayo is our favorite and with the stick blender it takes less than two minutes and the ingredients can come right out of the fridge. Love it!

Can’t you just use a blender or mixer??

    • SLS

Immersion blenders are better than regular blenders for hot foods, which can get a but dangerous in a regular blender or food processor.

    • Jac

And so much quicker & easier–you use it right in the pan and have very little extra cleanup.

  4. Rebecca

Great for making baby food. Less mess than a food processor or blender and just freeze in ice cube trays.

  5. Queenmum

This is great for making gravy. My recipe calls for onions but I don’t want big pieces in it so I use this to make it smooth.

  6. Fabiola

I use it to make salsa, instead of using blender.

  7. Sara

Great for making smoothies and margheritas

  8. Morgan

I use this instead of a blender. Great for puréeing soups, making protein shakes, and hard to incorporate things like when you’re making German pancakes or trying to put cream cheese in jello. It does NOT whip cream (no air). I learned that the hard way 🙂

I actually need an immersion blender but on the lower price range since it’s an extra for my parents house… Does anyone know of these are on a Black Friday deal anywhere? Tia!

If you live near an Aldi’s they were selling an immersion blender that comes with a chopping cup and a whisk for $19.99 last week. My store still has a few left over. I find that most of Aldi’s kitchen items are a great value and of good quality. Of course, YMMV.

I use mine daily to make a morning smoothie. We paid $50 for ours several years ago. Great deal!

  11. Lori

I use mine to puree soups right in the pot. No need to dirty the blender! This is so much easier.

  12. Katie

I use mine all the time to make salad dressing, but I got it at Costco for around $20 and it came with a chopper attachment, whisk attachment, and measuring cup.

    Best immersion blender ever!

How well does this work to chop herbs and spices? My son asked for a Magic Bullet do be able to do that, but I am thinking this would take up less space…he will be moving out in June.

I bought this deal and then a week ago saw the same exact one at Gordmans for $19.99. And they offered the. In multiple color options.
