I think we all know it’s a gamble if we actually get one when we arrive there…that’s part of the deal chase…and excitement..I didn’t need another tv..I just thought for that price it was a nice touch for the spare room..and backup if my main tv goes out…I luv the deals I do get…and am Thankful I didn’t have to wait in line Thanksgiving to get it…more than willing to spend an extra 20 bucks or so to get one without all the people to contend with next week….that is part of this early “frenzy” someone spoke of earlier…we all still have plenty to be thankful for and most of us do show it..

Friends went this morning to get one and the ad said the store would have a minimum of 3. Well they only had 3 tvs. Glad I didn’t go!! They said the store wasn’t even busy.
our walmart sold EVERY BRAND 40inch for $115 today! amazing. when all the tv that were on the floor were gone they started bringing out the pallets! it was great! we went with the intention of getting a game and came home with a samsung 40in. great day!!

I went in to get the PS4 deal with the $50 gift card. I got there at 7:30 and no one was waiting to get one. Everyone was there for the tvs apparently they only had a few. Many people were upset but it really wasn’t the employees fault! They had no idea about the sale. Corporate should notify them of such sales.
They only had 3 tv come on Walmart! They said it was last minute they put up the ad.
I was able to get 3 at my Walmart. They had pallets of tvs in stock!
I went this morning and made my fiancé go with me. I went to electronics this morning at 7:25 I was directed to the ship to store/layaway department. Another customer was there when I was asking and went over to that area with us. There was one man that had been there since 5 or so. So he was first in line( we later found out he was a walmart employee that waited patiently after his night shift was over) . The lady that walked over with us was second and we were 3 and 4 in line. They had 14 tv’s. We waited in line about 20 minutes when they decided to go ahead and start selling them to us , as it was obvious the first 14 people in line we’re going to get them.they only allowed one per customer. Though one lady in line did manage to get two as she said her 7 yo son was buying one for his room. The boy was very excited an you could tell by the look on her face that he was either suppose to be getting it for Christmas or it really wasn’t for him at all. A few people were upset but they were actually telling them to go on line on their phones and reserve them at other stores, and trying to be as helpful as possible. The rest of the pre- Black Friday sales were a mess. I wanted the $88 scooter, which I found stuffed and dusty behind some other ones.i also bought the $99 kurig for $99 but didn’t get my $25 gift card. I looked all over the store for the $9 disney princess dress up dresses, but the frozen ones are excluded and they didn’t have any more. The store only has a few people in it,. I just wish that the other deals had been displayed and in stock for more convenient shopping.
I got one my store had 48 I gt to the store at 5:30am, people if you want to get something you need to work for it I saw people getting at 8 and fighting with the guys on electronics because they where sold out is like they want a good deal but don’t want to sacrifice nothing
Lol I woke up at 5:30 was at the store by 6. I started the line for tvs and chrome books cause none of the employees even knew they were going to have a sale. After waiting an hour was told they didn’t receive ANY. Trust me it wasn’t a matter of not working for it it was a matter of the store being completely unprepared.
Also if u want one check Monday morning the guy at my store said they getting more Monday morning or to gt it on layaway but u need to pay it before Thursday or it goes to regular price
This definitely varied greatly by store. My mom was at a store in Texas and they only had 3 but went to the back and pulled all the Emersons they had so they had a total of 11 TVs to give on the spot THEN he issued rain checks only to the people waiting before 8 am (my mom said about 15 people). I think the corporate office was shady about it and probably only sent 3 per store then it was up to each manager how they wanted to handle it at the store level customer service wise. You can call it greed or insignificant or whatever you want but fact is if a company is going to build something up this massive they need to be able to back it up. As far as it not being the employees fault I agree. The company needs to do a better job of communicating these things but unfortunately they are an extension of the company so people will express their anger and frustration to them. Just how it goes.
I went to Walmart to pick up my Skylanders order and there was a TV for $115 and realized when I got home that it’s a hideous camo print!! Still laughing about this deal. The guy loaded up in my car and I never even saw that it was camouflage. Haha so just an FYI the ugly camouflage version of this element TV is coming up the sale price and Walmart as well! 🙂
If you don’t want the t.v. I would gladly buy it from you , I went and bought one for my older son and my 9 year old son wants one too. I have called every Walmart in a 100 mile radius with no luck.

They were gone at 8:01 in my store.
I don’t know if this will work for everyone, but I contacted Walmart.com customer service after my order was cancelled. I spoke with a supervisor who told me that all stores have received notification to offer alternative TV choices with the same specs to customers with cancelled orders. I called my local store and they looked into it. I was able to go in and get another 40″ TV (Element) in a camo pattern for the $115. The store was very nice about it. It is worth a try and I saw a copy of the memo that came from corporate so I know it is company wide. Hope this helps someone else!
They were also doing that at my store. I just happened to be walking by the electronics and I saw a guy bringing out a pallet of 40″ Emersons. I asked if they were the $115 tv’s. He said they had sold out of the originals so were substituting with the camo (originally $298). They never put a new sign up with the $115 price so people had no idea. I did post it on fb though. Ha! I didn’t need a new tv, but someone might!
This is SO upsetting to me, I was @ my store very early… Only 3 tv’s, I was 4th to arrive, I tried to get the Element tv & the store manager was rude & would NOT let me get it… I put it back, went back today to check on Emerson, still NO more & now all the Element that they had are gone… I am a loyal “Black Friday shopper” go every year, Wal-mart is ALWAYS my first stop… I don’t feel this pre-sale was very well thought out, for most employees were in the dark about specifics… I’m VERY disappointed & discouraged!!!!
I got to my Walmart at 7:45 and there were people lined up. There were 3 Emerson’s in the store but people were so angry they pulled all the 40″ inch sets and offered those as a substitute. There were only 7 of those but they were smart TVs. I actually got the last one but the people that had gotten there really early got the Emerson which wasn’t as nice of a TV.
I’m so upset sale wasn’t suppose suppose to start until 8am got there at 6 completely sold out !!! Apparently they started selling them at 10pm last night . Rude managers and very unorganized .
in luck, today one day after the sale there where 4 left in the back room. 2 Emerson and 2 Element, they still rang up the sale price. as i left employees and customers where asking. . . i told them there were 4 left in back room, they must have come on yesterdays truck (after the sale) guess this shipment was late but i got one. you cant go wrong for 100 bucks, the regular price is 289 right?
Looked up emerson brand , even though they sold extremly cheap ther reviews are all bad , I wouldnt by one .

We are trying to get a TV from store they were out so we weren’t going to get one but there’s nothing saying why supplies last so why can we get a rain check the TV was for $115 we left store feeling like we were wasting there time
To anybody that ordered the 40″ tv online….I ordered the tv online, paid for it and received an email a few hours later titled “Walmartfullfillment” telling me that the item that I had ordered was no longer available and was canceled. In that email it stated they were sorry they fell short of the orders, blah, blah, blah and gave a contact number to call with any questions. Well, I called that number in the email and spoke with them and they said that my name would go on a list to a VIP customer care person and that I would be compensated for my inconvenience and that they wanted my business. He said to watch my emails for the next 24-48 hours. Low and behold, I received 2 emails this morning…………..long story short…………I received an e-card to walmart for $183.00 !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Heck the tv I wanted was only $115.00. I am sooo excited that I had to share for anyone who may have ordered online for the same sale!!! Call the number in your email!!!

You will actually get 2 emails. One will state that you placed an order………when you open the email it will show that you got a regular blue e-card with a balance due of 0.00 from walmart.com. The second email will say “you have an e-gift card from walmart.com”. That’s the email that has the card number (with amount) and Pin number. I used my e-gift card in the actual walmart store tonight. It has instructions on it for the cashier. I just showed them the barcode from my phone. Worked like a charm, and I still cannot believe how much they gave me. Craziest thing that has ever happened to me!! Hope you all get the same!!! $183.00
Thanks so much for the info. I never got a manager to call me back from the call center until Saturday. So hope still coming. He told me they where giving difference between regular price and sale price.
After reading the comments above about calling Walmart.com and complaining that my TV order was cancelled, I did the same thing and was told the same as the others. They will be emailing me an e-gift card for $183. Wow! I was really disliking Walmart for not planning better for the high demand of the TVs, but now I like them again for being so good to their customers, admitting when they screw up and making it right for us. I will now be getting another TV there on Black Friday.

So I didn’t get my gift card with in 48 hours as promised. So I called back today and now I’m being told that the manager that I talk to didn’t do what he was supposed to do so now it’s going to a different manager and again I’m supposed to wait 48 hours. I went to the 3 stores near my home. None were give sub’s and none had any of these specials TV set. I would have taken a sub giving the chance. I wish every Walmart was run the same. This is only one of several issues I have.
