And, as mentioned here, check out this awesome tip from reader, Maria and how she uses her Fitbit to earn money  to spend at Kmart and Sears…

Here is how it works:

  • First you will need to use your Fitbit
  • Your Fitbit will track all of the steps you take each day. Once you reach 14 miles per week, you will receive 5000 points ( = a $5 reward)
  • In addition, at the website (FitStudio) you can log your exercise activity, weight, rating, and workouts. For this, you will receive an additional 3,500 points (= a $3.50 reward)
  • You also get additional points for participating in challenges etc
  • At the end of each week,  you get to spend the money earned at Kmart and/or Sears, either online or in one of the stores. I have been using this money every week to do my holiday shopping.

(Thanks, Maria!)

This isn’t for the new one with the clock is it?

    • Erica

      Bummer nope 🙁

    • Michelle W

Are they making the clock one again? My cousin has one and it was recalled due to allergic reactions to something in it. She kept hers anyway because she loves it! I’m hoping for one like it.

      • Erica

It’s a new one. Can’t remember the name off the top of my head. But it also has caller id on it!!!

        • Erica

Can the rebate only be used at Kohl’s?

    • Erica

Yes it’s a kohls rebate. A few other “sports stores” are giving out $25 gift cards when buying a fitbit.

      • stephanie

Thanks for the reply. Seems like a good deal, I am just trying to figure out what I could use the $110 in kohl’s cash and kolh’s rebate for. That is a lot of $. 🙂

        • stephanie

since i plan on buying two

The Rebate is a prepaid visa card you can use that any where. The Kohl’s cash can only be used at Kohl’s.

    • stephanie

thanks Colleen – that is what i was wondering

Just an FYI I received a FitBit Flex in May. I wore it on vacation where I had it fall off my wrist and couldn’t locate it. Fitbit was great and did send me another one for no cost. Then my replacement broke after two days. It just stopped working. Again, they replaced it free of charge. My third one also stopped charging after a while. They sent me a fourth one for no charge. That one wasn’t displaying the same number of steps that the app was showing and also wasn’t vibrating when reaching 10,000 steps. They sent me a gift one which I have been using for three weeks now.

Also good on the fitbit one in burgundy

  11. Lisa

FYI the 15% off does not apply to the Fitbit. Possibly because it’s an electronic?

I know FitBit has good customer service because my son had the one that was recalled and they handled that well. I’m going to give this a try for myself. Thanks for the tips on how to generate money at Sears!
