My store wouldn’t let me price match and then use cartwheel.. he used the cartwheel off of the store price which was $24.99 so it came out to $15.xx .. I passed

Target policy states they will price match/honor their online prices in store. They will price match, but there are different rules when a price match and cartwheel are involved.

I had to go to two stores to finally get it. I was first told at the first store that it was against their policy to allow price match and use the cart wheel and when I asked him to show it to me on the policy they couldn’t and then said that it’s up to the store’s discretion. Fine, so I went to the second Target and they were very nice. They said that as long as the register allowed them to do it they would allow it. It’s frustrating that it’s a chain store and they are inconsistent in applying their policies.
It’s not against policy but the cartwheel is applied before price match. They only lower the price if the advertised price is lower. You CAN NOT price match the price then use the target coupon or cartwheel. I wish everyone would understand even if they get away with it, they are not supposed to. Giving employees a hassle and making them break the rules makes it worse for everyone overall. The stores start getting stricter and employees give every coupon/deal an inspection because if they do something they aren’t supposed to they get in trouble. How would everyone on here like it if someone went to their job and caused a scene to break the rules then your boss got you in trouble?

Can I use a coupon when price matching?
You can use coupons when price matching per Target’s normal coupon policy. When you present a coupon(s), follow these steps:
Manufacturer coupons: manufacturer coupons will be applied after the price match is made.
Target and Cartwheel℠ coupons: Target and Cartwheel coupons will be applied before the price match is made. If the competitor price is still lower than the price after the Target and Cartwheel coupon has been deducted, the ad match can be adjusted to match the competitor’s price.
Combining both Target, Cartwheel and manufacturer coupons: the Target and Cartwheel coupon will be applied before the price match is made. If the competitor price is still lower than the price after the Target and Cartwheel coupon has been deducted, the ad match can be adjusted to match the competitor’s price. Once the price match is made, the manufacturer coupon will be applied.

Here’s what the Cartwheel terms state: Each Cartwheel offer may be used for up to a maximum of 4 qualifying items per offer per transaction, unless otherwise noted. Limit of 1 Cartwheel barcode per transaction and 6 Cartwheel barcode transactions per day.

I’m in the Chicago suburbs and mine was $24.99. Even at 40% I thought there were cuter dolls for less money.
I got it for 9.99 plus tax. I got a $10.00 Target gift card for donating blood today so all I paid wad $1.65 for this doll! Huge score!
I went to price match for blonde baby alive and target told me they won’t price match because Black Friday sales is this week. What crap is that?
