On Saturday, December 13th, at 10AM, head on into Lowe’s where kids can build a FREE Holiday Train Engine! Be sure to register your kiddos as spots tend to fill up quickly! If you’ve never attended one of these free Kid’s Clinics, check out my previous experience here.

Or, if you have a Home Depot nearby, you can still sign up for the FREE Kids Workshop on December 6th where kids can build FREE Holiday Yard Stakes. These workshops are designed for ages 5-12 and are offered the 1st Saturday at all The Home Depot stores between 9AM-12PM.

      Have fun! 🙂

The Home Depot one says ages 5-12. Does anyone know if they’re stifflers on age? I have a 2 yr old who with my help would love to participate.

We have been taking our 2 year old since this spring. Home depot doesn’t mind. Enjoy
      🙂

I bring my 18 month old and have never had a problem.

Not at all. My kids are 6, 5, & 3. Never had an issue. They are not going to cause a scene and kick you out!

I’ve never been able to sign up for these 🙁 Does anyone know are the Lowes like the Home Depot, where your sign up is not a guarantee to get in? At my home depot it really is first come first serve.

    • Jenn

Going to my first Home Depot one this Saturday, but I take my boys to the lowes one all the time . You are guaranteed a spot until 10:15 at lowes. A couple of times, my lowes was filled online and we just went and still were able to do it!

    • Nicole

Go at 10:15 and you can do the project if they have any left (which at my store in Texas they always do).

Yep just called and they said that my 2yr old would be able to do one too that she would just require my help! Great thing for them to do! Thanks Collin! Just FYI if anybody has a bass proshop near by they are doing free santa pictures and they also had free games and art and crafts for kids! All free!!

Home Depot you can register, but when I called they said it was first come first serve. What’s the point of registering then? At least with Lowe’s you can register and they will hold a kit for you.

  6. Tonya

We’ve never gone to one of these. Do they take the full 3 hours?

    • Anna

No maybe 30 minutes. My son is almost 4 and loves it. I think Lowes is so generous for this free activity that he can do bonding with his stepdad

I’ve been taking my daughter to home depot for the past year and she loves it specially because they get a pin for each project.

At the Home Depot in Elizabethtown,Ky they have paper and a mailbox set up for the kids to send their letters to Santa. The lady’s working let me know this Saturday’s (12/6) workshop Santa is supposed to come for a visit.

This is great! I didn’t want to leave my little guy out of the fun. Our lowes fills up fast so Home Depot it is! Thanks everyone!
