      Hope she enjoys it! 🙂

Have any of you read this magazine? I would like to get for my 11 yo daughter, but some magazines have (what I think) inappropriate things in them (boy/girl very specific questions, etc.).

Since it says 9-14 it makes me wonder…

I don’t want to get her the subscription and them cancel.

I’m wondering the same thing. Hope someone can let us know.

I just read the 8 reviews on Amazon and it doesn’t sound like it, but you should check out the reviews. It sounds like a wholesome magazine.

I read a review from a blog and it did mention that it has an astrology page (assuming horoscope) this is not something we want our girls exposed to so we decided not to order. We love “Shine” magazine if you are looking for a good tween/teen mag.

      • Betsy

Thank you! I’ll pass on this magazine. Thanks for the suggestion for the other magazine.

Shine looks perfect. However, if you’re not a part of a club would it be odd to get the magazine? Plus, it’s every month rather than every other month…so the price per issue is the same 🙂

        • Knighton

we are not a member of the club, we just get the mag and my girls really enjoy “Shine”. You can also sign up for the newsletter where they inform parents what the kids will be reading. We just get the mag and my girls really enjoy “Shine”. Maybe Collin can find us a deal on a subscription to “Shine” 🙂

Also, there is another mag associated with “Shine” for younger girls called “Sparkle” for 1st – 3rd grade.

My girls get this magazine, they just turned 11 — we find it to be very age appropriate 🙂

Can wait to get home and make one of these. I have vacation photos and birthday photos I need books for.

Lot of airbrushing for a self esteem magazine is it like that on the inside if they show pics of girls, women?

    • Rachel

Thats the first thing I thought too!

  8. Patty

Any suggestions on a magazine for older than 14? I have a 15 year old.
