anyone own this computer? I need a pc for my husband’s business….we are apple people. the only thing I need it for is to run quickbooks. Any feedback would be great. thanks!
Not sure about QB, but I looked online and it says you cannot install Microsoft office…you can only use the free versions. If you planned on using it regularly for a business, I’d pass if you need regular use of Office.
we have it for our kids for school. Works great for that purpose. you can not install programs. It is strictly an app based/internet computer. It utilizes google docs. If there is an app for qb you could probably use it.
This is a Chromebook/netbook NOT a laptop. It is an Android type operating system. I have the Toshiba Chromebook and it is limited in it’s functions and you need a google account to access/setup the chromebook. I LOVE it for browsing the net and watching shows/movies but I’m not impressed with the apps. I am also an Apple person and if I had the money I would stick with apple! Once you go apple, it’s hard to switch back.

I’m an Apple person, too, and I live my Chromebook as my main computer at home. I don’t need the apps. Most of the stuff I do is web-based. I use Google Docs for any work. If Wuick Books has a web-based version, you’d be okay. My Chromebook is feather-light and bever slows or hangs up (since there’s hardly any hard drive, you dont get viruses). It also starts up and shuts down in a couple seconds. Lo e it.
YES Dylan is correct $169.99 at Best Buy!! My daughter’s classroom has these and are very easy to use. I got one for my Mom (couldn’t help myself, early Christmas gift and She loves it!) Just purchased another one today for my College student.
I think the best buy one is different, they have different model numbers and are priced differently on the acer website
