I don’t want to sound negative, but I just wanted to share this. I was not aware of this at all, until I began looking deeply into the reviews on Amazon after buying products with quality showing a lot less than what the raving reviews say.

There are Amazon account holders who are given free products by Amazon in exchange of reviews. How do you expect the reviews to turn out of they are given something for free?

Also, I was appealed to see some reviewers who had 5star reviews of 10, 15 products of the same manufacturer, and 1star reviews against competing manufacturers.

I have been following this amazon discussion for months now regarding fake reviews.

    https://www.amazon.com/forum/top%20reviewers/?_encoding=UTF8&camp=1789&cdForum=Fx2Z5LRXMSUDQH2&cdPage=8&cdSort=newest&cdThread=Tx23EE7KG9L1MJV&creative=390957&linkCode=ur2&tag=wwwhip2saveco-20&linkId=I4WP7Z37NGRJENVM

If you have the time, try to notice that the ones with undeleted reviews are the same group of people. They vote down the comments which expose them, and gang up on on the commenters who dare do this to them. THey have also gotten wiser because they deleted some of their reviews when people took notice of their fraudulent activities. A lot of people, including I have phone Amazon about this, but to no avail.

I just want to warn everyone not to go by product reviews alone. And if you do happen to buy a product from Amazon, which turns out sub par form the reviews, pls. write “reviews are not true, etc.. “. Maybe a high rate of return will force Amazon to clean up their reviews rules.

I agree with what one commenter said, that only verified purchases must be given a chance to write an review 30 days after the purchase or on the day when the item cannot be returned for refund anymore.

Thanks for reading and apologize for hijacking the post, Collin.

Thanks for posting! I was just coming in here to say though it says 4 stars there are enough bad reviews and even bad reviews in the tone of 4 star.

Reviews states: It does not suction well. More pulp than desired. Carrots are almost impossible to crank with out suction coming off again and again, and another person to help. Collin! We love your deals and your desire to eat healthy, I’m goin to pass on this one though 🙂

Great information! Thank you for sharing. I will look more closely now. They should stop this practice.

The reviews of free products are clearly marked as “vine members” so you can tell which ones they are so you can make an informed decision.

Yes, they are marked. Also people can hire out others to put reviews up. Honestly I don’t trust many review systems. Use your best judgement. 🙂

My BIL and a good friend of mine are Vine reviewers and they are both as honest and thorough as possible in their reviews. They don’t stay on the Vine program by leaving glowing reviews of each product, Amazon keeps them on when they have many reviews marked as helpful.

I wanted a masticating juicer, but I didn’t want to pay $300 for one. I bought this a few month ago, HSN had them on clearance for $10 and I love it. The suction is great. I use it to juice beets, kale, ginger and carrots and I have no problems. Remember this is a manual juicer so you have put a little work into grinding up the root veggies, just cut them small and grind on. If you’re looking to juice a lot this is not the one get as it would probably take all day. If juicing a glass a day is what you want then this is the juicer to get. Plus it’s small, easy to put together and clean up is a breeze. JMO!
