      You’re welcome!

Oh, and code COUNTDWN14D gets you 25% off making them actually just $16.99

      • Kathy

Just bought the 3 piece set. Thank you!

Thanks Collin, and Holly! Ive been looking to purchase some cast iron, and this looks like a great deal! I used the 2 codes, Holly, and with tax, it is $18.05. Do you already have the set? I hope it is just as good of quality and performance as the more expensive options.

        • Holly

I don’t have these but I ordered a set. I have been looking for a set of cast iron pans. That is how my great grandma always cooked her biscuits and rolls. I figured for the price it is worth a try.

        Bon Ton $9.95 shipping…

        • Holly

You have to enter promo code FREESHIP…the two codes are stackable

the bontom.com deal doesn’t appear to be the lodge pans, says imported. The lodge cast iron is made in the usa, so appears to me two different manufacturers.

What a timely post! I just saw a recipe by Chef John yesterday that requires a cast iron skillet in one of the steps. I was bummed since I don’t have one and didn’t want to fork out the cash to get one. So I was very happy to see this post when I got up (and amazed at the timing!). I ordered one and will get it in 2 days. Looks like I’ll be able to make that baby German pancake after all! Thanks for all that you do Collin! You have been a huge part of my life for years, but this is my first post. Happy holidays!

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Awww… thanks for the sweet comment! It sure brightened my morning! 🙂

    • Luz

Kim, I LOVE Chef John!!! Got almost all my Thanksgiving dish recipes from him. Guy cracks me up 🙂 I also love my cast iron, and I’m glad you were able to snag one for a great deal. Happy Christmas!

P.S. If you have not tried making the “Cream Biscuits,” do it 😉

      • Kim

Will try them, thanks! Merry Christmas to you too!

Love my 12″ Lodge. Used it to hold Thanksgiving turkey while smoking in charcoal grill. Tempted to buy this smaller one, but the pricing doesn’t seem to be in line with actual retail. Got my mom the classic 10″ at Ace Hardware with the 50% coupon for $10. And Ace prices are normally higher than other retailers.

I have the traditional Lode 10 (or is it 10 1/4) and love it. Mine has straight sides so great for baking in it too.. Im a big fan of Lodge Cast iron, and that its made in the US. (fyi their enameled line not made in US).

Target also carries it. I usually get it from Amazon (prices always seem to go up and down so try to scoop at good deal).

  5. Winne

    Preseasoned? So, it’s used?

    • Sarah

No, traditional cast iron you had to season it with oil and put in oven to seal it before you were supposed to cook in it. Now modern cast iron the manufacturer does that for you in their process so it is ready to cook!!

  6. alissa

They also have these at TJ Maxx most of the time.

  7. leslie

Target.com says that these are in store for 15.99 (with the 40% off) so this is a good deal! One of my friends has recently decided to cook healthier and I’m very supportive – she has gotten rid of her flaky non-stick (Yay!) I’m going to be supportive and buy a skillet for her! Yay!

    • Terry

Love it when someone does that, Leslie. Happy Holidays!

  8. Sarah

Just have to say I cook all the time in my lodge cast iron… It is great for just about everything and so much healthier than non stick, and easy to clean up! Will literally last FOREVER.. And it is made right up the road just NW of Chattanooga TN!! I love supporting US made anytime I can.

  9. Lynn

Lodge is definitely the best. Much better than the “no-name” brands & always happy to support american made!

  10. Amanda

    I paid 16.99 shipped…they didn’t charge me tax? The bonton.com set

  11. rachel

i have this cast iron from amazon for $12 the last time it went on sale and i am not really happy with the quality.Eventhough its pre-seasoned,it’s still needs a lot of re seasoning. Every after use,i re season my pan and until now,i haven’t reach the non stick state of my pan. Read the reviews in amazon. I love the one i got from the local Mexican store, and its about the same price

    • Summer

The key, besides seasoning your pan, is to preheat the pan before putting meat or eggs or anything in it. Make sure it has a little oil, heat it over medium for a few minutes, and then add food . It will stick if you put food in cold skillet

  12. Rose

They sat pretty seasoned. It needs seasoned anyway if you want to have a great pan. Oil and put in oven on low heat. Every couple hours do this again. I did this for 2 weeks before using it to cook in. I love it. Beautiful seasoned pan.

  13. Tatiana Jursa

How do you clean your cast iron pans? I hear no soap

  14. gail mercer

Just bought two at the Lodge store today for $4.99 each

  15. Noreen

Where is there a Lodge store?

  16. Michelle

no soap! I clean like I clean my baking stones from Pampered Chef…with a stiff brush and hot water. Clean right after using and you won’t have any issue getting food stuffs off and will self season beautifully!

  17. Tatiana Jursa

    Wonderful. Thank you Michelle!
