Love my up 24.. Only difference is that you have to plug this one in to sync… This is accurate and motivating and at $30 a great deal!
My husband had one and wanted to upgrade to a tracker with a screen. This is a great price for someone curious about fitness trackers though!
The biggest drawback of this model is that it doesn’t have Bluetooth so you always have to plug it in to sync it.

This might be a dumb question but I’m looking into buying this for my husband. Does it track running? Like how fast he’s ran or the distance?
It will do steps and overall distance, but not how fast. Sometimes they are funny on stationary equipment too.

Does anyone know if these are new or refurbished ones they are re-selling?
I bought this one when it came out a couple years ago. I loved it but it recently finally died on me and I’m waiting for the up3. For this price the regular up band is totally worth it if this is your price point. You do have to plug in to your phone to sync but it’s not a huge deal. You get into the habit of just doing it every morning or every night.
The up app is by far the best interface of anyone’s out there. The community is super supportive too. It syncs with myfitnesspal and mapmyrun as well with no problems.
I’m a runner so I used it mostly for that. It tracks pretty darn accurately if you take the time to calibrate it when you get it. Weight lifting is a little more difficult to track. You need to put it in activity mode when you start and take it off when you stop. Then you go into the app to tell it exactly what you did once you sync and you can tell it how hard you worked out. That will estimate calories.
You can shower with it but you cannot swim with it though. There is also no display except for lights to let you know what mode it’s in but honestly it didn’t bother me at all. We’re all attached to our phones these days so if you really need to see your stats it’s easy to sync. HTH
Thanks for the thorough review. I’ve looked at various wearable trackers off and on this past year, $50 for a clip on or $100+ for the more convenient wristband just wasn’t in the cards. For this price I decided to check it out 🙂

Target will price match competitors such as Walmart, Toys R Us, Amazon and Best Buy for the exact same item (match SKUs), and even online as long as the competitor has the item in stock.
Take the item to the front guest services (customer service) desk and they will adjust the price of the item. They will pull up the website on their ipad (or if it’s not working they will just look at my phone). Here is their official policy. I’ve never had a problem with price matching at Target.

You have to buy $50 of wearable technology to get the rebate. So, you would have to get 2. Sometimes they will allow you to PM and do the rebate when buying in store. Sometimes not.
