[h2s_box]Collin – First, thanks for the most awesome website on the planet! Second, I wanted to see if you’d be inclined to remind your Hipsters about the Consumer Testing Program from L’Oréal. Enclosed is an image of the FREE items I received for my participation in a recent study. Also, L’Oréal sent out an email not too long ago stressing a need for women of color for upcoming studies as well. If you choose to share, the website address is on the image and please remind all the Hipsters that sometimes it may take awhile before a study comes along that they qualify for, but to just be patient. [/h2s_box]

If you haven’t joined the L’Oreal Consumer Panel yet, head here to apply. If you qualify, you will receive occasional surveys that are usually focused on skin care and/or cosmetics. When you complete a certain number of the informational surveys, they will mail you full-size bottles of high end skincare and/or makeup products.

Thanks so much for sharing, Jennifer! And if you’re currently a L’Oreal Consumer Panel member, I’d love to hear your feedback on this program.

Its good to know that they actually do get gifted. I did a study and filled out the information and was told I would be gifted for my time, but I never received anything. I was about to delete my information and close the account, but I guess I will just hang on and continue to try again.

    • WooHoo

      Same here.

I LOVE it. I’ve only been eligible for one actual at-home study, but it was simple and great. When the study was over, I had 2 new mascaras- one being the high-end brand that I already used. And then they ALSO sent a ‘thank you’ gift! I’ve been eligible for a couple of surveys, and while they were time consuming, the gifts they send afterward are well worth the time! I’ve received hundreds of dollars worth of items for nothing more than time!

    • Java

Do you have to pay for shipping and handling although the items were free?

  3. Salsz

I’ve been on their panel for 10 years I live in nj so I can do the local studies … It’s AWESOME!!!! I get FANTASTIC free products & access to their company store where it’s 50% off Lancome,Urban Decay, pureology, Redlen,Matrix, Kiehls, Vichy, LaRoche Posay & soooooo much more !!! I love it !

    • susan

Same here. I live in Ohio and do local studies. Love the 50% discount at the employee store!!
      Totally worth it

      • Pinky

Where are they at in Ohio?

        • Bri

Solon, OH where ever that is. I’m in Cincinnati, OH

    • briannajwilliams

OMG that is awesome!!!! I wonder where all their stores are!

    • Jane

Hi Salsz, I am also from NJ. Do you mind to share where their company store is? I know there was one in Edison area but I tried to find it sometime ago and no luck. Thank you!

    • kristina

Hi.For testing do you get a store pass too?

  4. Joanne Reizen

Would love to try in products! I alway use Loreal cosmetics.

    • michelle

They do studies for other types of cosmetics besides L’oreal. I did a study for Maybelline mascara. Although, at the time you are testing you don’t know what product is so that the test is unbiased.

  5. 4Ella

I take surveys all the time, I been member for couple of years and have never qualify for any study 🙁

    • WooHoo

      Me neither!

      • llc

I agree. I take surveys and I always receive the you don’t qualify at the end. Its so frustrating that I quit wasting my time. I was a loyal survey taker for about 18 months. You would think I would qualify for something at some time.

        • Ashley57

I have been a member for about three years, and nothing. I think one survey that goes towards the 5 you need to get a reward, and that is it.

  6. angela f

i have been a panelist with loreal for about 6-7 years, started off many surveys and about 5-8 products and thank you gifts a year, I’ve only had an eyebrow pencil in past 2 years. I did get an email from them in past 6 mos indicating to be patient, they are making changes??

  7. Diane

Thanks for the reminder. I received a couple of very nice products from this company a couple of years ago. Then life got busy, and I forgot to log in and check for new surveys. I’ll definitely start doing this again!

  8. Sofia

Has anybody of you (from California) received a $10 MAC merchandise certificate as benefit for a class action settlement? I got mine in the mail today. It was a nice surprise as I am not aware of any lawsuits filed againts MAC.

    • Cizzle

Yes, I got one today too! $10 as well

    • Sharon

I’ve been seeing this on social media. How do we get this?

  9. grr

I have been a member for a few years – it took months before I qualified for my first test. The studies are usually based on demographics and what products you currently use – they are not only looking for L’Oreal product users. Sometimes you just get informational surveys but also get gifted after completing 5. The gifts are definitely worth it – sometimes it does take a lot of patience to be selected. I have gone a year with nothing but just had 2 tests in 3 months.

  10. April

Been a member for over a year and never qualified for anything but maybe that will change since they are expanding their demographics.

  11. michelle

I love this panel. Lots of times I do not qualify for studies, but when I do the studies are very easy to complete and they are usually very prompt with sending the reward afterward which usually contains high end products. To the poster who didn’t receive the reward, I would try to contact them if that happens for future studies. They are usually very good at replying to emails.

    • georgia

Do you get 10+ minutes into a survey only to be told you don’t qualify? Or do you only get emailed surveys that you qualify for?

      • michelle

The survey qualifiers for a study are usually less than 5 minutes and you are told immediately whether or not you qualify. It’s usually demographics questions plus a few other questions about product usage depending on the study. You have to remember to log into the panel to see if there are any studies available. You don’t always get invites in an email.

  12. Adina

Here’s a question – Do you get emailed? Or do you have to remember to log in and check for surveys?

    • mackyjane

Both. But I try to make it a ritual to check their website daily. Sometimes I remember and sometimes I don’t, but I don’t always get an email saying that there is a survey for an upcoming panel so it really does pay off to take a minute or two and just check the website. I agree with a lot of other panel members and have gone months without qualifying for any studies, but then had 2 in a row a few months ago. Just be patient and fill out the surveys. They really don’t take that long and could be well worth it in the end!

    • shopper

Pretty sure I never received an email for a study. Even with checking, when remembered, had a few surveys in the beginning, nothing for awhile..haven’t qualified yet..but have from other tester sites.

      • michelle

It seems like I used to get the emails more regularly than I do now. I just make it a habit to check the site frequently to see if there are any studies.

  13. DC

I have a free Shutterfly calendar code if anyone wants to trade for a LLBEAN code. 🙂

  14. Halle

I filled out my info and it said they would email me password and link?
Is this a good thing or bad?

  15. Melissa-Ann

    Thanks for the link!!!

  16. Katie

I’ve been a member for a few months and never get any emails or when I log in there’s no surveys.😞

  17. Melissa

What frustrates me now that I am getting “older” is that I don’t qualify for the surveys and tests that are for products marketed for “aging”. It seems like they want to test them on the women for whom the signs of aging are not really apparent yet!

  18. Lieca Nickel

I signed up and for two years never was selected to be a panelist, finally emailed them to be removed from their email due to never being selected as a panelist for over two years.

  19. Dani

I have been a member for about three years. I only received one free item and that was a Lancôme eye cream. I never seem to qualify for any studies but I keep trying. 🙂

  20. Sabrina

Love them! Haven’t qualified for anything in a while but I also havent been keeping up with regularly checking for prequalifier survey’s. I did a several weeks long study for them a few years ago and the goody bag was huge and had over $400 of products in there. It was amazing.

  21. Becca C.

I’ve been a member for 3 years and have never qualified for anything. 🙁

  22. Sarah

Have been a member for a few years now, am always not right for the study. After filling out countless surveys to be told no every time it gets a little pointless. Glad to hear others were actually chosen for something. Like someone said, I used to get emails that new studies were available but haven’t seen one in a while either. Sounds like it’d be fun if I was ever what they were looking for.

  23. Dani

Not sure how many years I’ve been a member, but the 1st year or so was great, did informational surveys that qualified you for gifts and even product tested once, which provided a great gift for completion…since then, years have passed and I never qualify for anything

  24. Alicia

I love the program. I was able to test a Lancome blush about one year ago.

  25. stace

Does anyone know what happened to their facebook?

  26. brittany

I’ve been on this panel for quite some time and have never qualified for ANNNNY surveys. 🙁

    • Heather

me either. i cant figure out who they are looking for.

  27. Tracey

I have received several product studies and thank you gifts. It has been slower lately, but I am also a part of Good Housekeeping and Pink Panel. I want to say between the three of them, I average about 1 study every couple of months.

  28. khadijah

I recently got accepted to a study but I’m awaiting the package and I am wondering did you guys get an email from Loreal when your package was shipped out or did you just get it unexpectedly thank you

    • Christina Torres

I’ve recently joined the panel as well and did about 6 surveys so far but I’m sooo confused!!! What are the requirements that they are looking for? Out of those six surveys I was told I wasn’t accepted in either of them. I wear makeup about 4 times out of the week so do they want people that wear makeup or prefer people that don’t wear makeup as much.

  29. Heather

I have been applying for these things for years and NEVER once have qualified. I have no idea who they are looking for but apparently its not a caucasian female in her 30’s who uses skincare products most everyone uses and has relatively healthy longer wavy hair. I just can’t figure out why I am always screened out.
