PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE keep in mind this deal is ONLINE ONLY. I work at Panera, and though I love love love our guests, some don’t always pay attention to the details. THEY (meaning corporate locations – I cannot speak for franchise locations) CANNOT HONOR THIS IN STORE. Thank you so very much and Merry Christmas!

Kimberly T: Thank you for the information…(that was worded very tactfully, by the way 🙂 Do you happen to know the ending date on this special offer? Thanks, in advance, for your help!

So you can’t use this e gift card to buy food in the store?

      • Patty

Yes that’s what I’m wondering too.

I think what Kimberly T is saying is that, stores may vary, but don’t assume you can walk into a Panera and purchase $100 in GC, expecting to get a $20 bonus. The deal posted here is for an egift card, so you would have to purchase the gift cards online. I would assume that using the egift card in a store is not a problem. Not an expert – just how I’m reading it. hth (Thanks for the post, Colin, and thanks for the reminder Kimberly T!)

What is difference between franchise and corporate locations?

I bought this deal w few weeks online and got the egift card. Yesterday, I asked my husband to pick us up some coffee and ask if they can give us platic gift cards (i don’t like the paper ones). Well little do you know he comes home and tell me they had a promotion in store for $20 gift card when you buy $100 gift card. He was able to pay with the egift card. I felt like we cheated the system since in the end we got $40 bonus card for buying $100 gift card

That’s awesome!!! I need to try this!!!

I did this earlier today and paid with my Discover card. Then tonight I got an email from Discover thanking me for my purchase and letting me know that I can expect to receive my statement credit within two weeks. Turns out, there is a “Discover Deal” for Panera ($20 statement credit when you spend $100). No click through necessary!

I was reading this and nothing in the fine print says that they won’t accept it at the stores. It’s an e gift card for the stores. Just like you get a starbucks e gift card it’s good at all locations 😊

Disregard my last message lol. I understand what kim means now. She’s not saying that you can’t use this gift card to purchase food what she is saying is that you can’t go in to the store and buy a 100 gift card and receive a bonus 20 gift card you can only get that deal online.

So basically you’re paying $80 worth a $100 of panera food. lol Yeah huge savings. I still like panera bread though
