What is funny is that most of those items are over the $35 minimum for free shipping anyway. Clever marketing by Amazon.

One day shipping is what caught my attention.

    • JulianFaux

I think it is more generous than clever for them to offer free-1day shipping to ensure pre Christmas delivery to non-prime members.

Wait until you get disppointed by late delivery for ridiculous reasons.

          Merry Christmas, Debbie Downer

How are you doing, Lisa? LMAO

I would much rather associate with a debbie downer than an explicitly rude person. Just saying. Happy holidays!

    One day shipping? YES PLEASE

Just noticed the 6″ fires are down to $79 if you still need a gift. Not sure if the shipping is free though.

I wouldn’t count on it. I pay for prime and I always pay for expedited shipping (next day) when I need an item ASAP. Amazon never fails to give BS reasons for not being able deliver on time. Just last week I bought a something for next day delivery. On the day it was supposed to be delivered, status said shipped, but then changed to item damaged cannot be delivered. Since this always happens, I knew what to do. I called and asked for a replacement to be shipped the following day. I called 5 times and spoke with different agents to make sure they leave the package whether or not I am at home. When I got home at around 5pm, status was UPS delivery guy has no bldg access, cannot be delivered. BS. UPS was able to deliver the packages of my other neighbors in our bldg. I saw the packages in our lobby, but where’s mine? I called and demanded that they send the item today. I was told that the delivery guy was told to re-deliver and for me to wait till 7pm. I did. I waited outside the lobby door for a little short of 2 hrs, no one came. Then the delivery was miraculously made on the third day. This time, they were able to access my lobby door.

Amazon advertises for next day shipping, but this BS 20% of the time. Save your $$, their 2 day delivery is more reliable.

I live in Seattle (home of Amazon!) have Prime, and rarely get things in 2 days like I am supposed to. I got stuff faster when I lived in Georgia- no joke.

    • karen

My 2-day items always arrive in two days. Heck, sometimes they show up next day.

If you buy from third party sellers it is outside of Amazon’s hands.

      • merrypenny1

Thanks, but I was referring to products shipped and sold by Amazon only.

I was super happy. I had to cancel an order because it was going to arrive after Christmas. Ordered the same thing from Amazon yesterday and got it today. My husband will now have something to open.

    • Ashley

I’m happy for you!! I ordered an item from ‘The Knot’ on Dec 2, it’s still ‘processing’ they apologize for the delay. Thanks, but I needed it for Christmas.

      • Jenn

Ashley I was surprised. It took almost 3 weeks to receive items I ordered at the end of November. I almost completely wrote them off but was desperate to get this last item on time.

        • Christina

I, too, am going to receive four of my gifts late from theknotshop. I’m pretty disappointed. I placed my order on December 4th. I nicely emailed them and they said they were sorry but their crews were working around the clock to fill orders. 🙁

      • molly

Had the same problem with the knot. Called and asked for explanations and they were less than helpful. Its not a huge deal to have it by Christmas, but crazy that it takes over a month to process a simple order!

      • Julie

It took almost a month for me to get an order I placed in October with The Knot… And that was not even Christmas season yet. 🙁

I’ve never had trouble with Amazon’s shipping. I’ve been using Prime for at least 3 years and I love the fast and free shipping! Not one single issue here 🙂

    • Katrina

Same for me. I have had great experience with Amazon shipping.

    • jessie

I’ve never had an issue with speed but I have had issues with poor packaging leading to broken items. :\

    • JES

I have never had a problem with prime. Always here on time and I live in the middle of no where.

Can anybody explain how a Lego set can be almost $400.00??? For that price the set must be made of gold and clean itself up and hop back in the box after my boys are done playing with it. Wow, 400.00 to step on Lego land mines in the dark in the middle of the night. No thank you!
