   I have a Nixon coolpix and I hate it. It doesn’t have good clarity and there is a long delay between pressing the button and the picture getting taken. Don’t buy it!

  they’re are tons of Nikon Coolpix cameras so you really need to go by specs on this particular one before making that sort of judgement. This camera has pretty good professional reviews for speed and shutterlag actually….I’m sure that is not true of many of the Coolpix cameras but all Nikons are not created equal!

  I got the one offered by Target for $99 on black Friday & I have the same problem! I hate it – wondering if I’m doing something wrong.

  I agree. I ended up giving mine to my 7 yr old to play with. I just use my iPhone for a point an shoot camera and I have my Nikon D810 DSLR for when I take pics of my kids sporting events an family pics.

   if u like taking pics like me,i would suggest to spend a bit more to get a DSLR.

   I bought this one on Black Friday. I like it. There is a bit of delay between pictures, but it has a quick shutter speed (meaning when you push the button, it takes it quickly). With kids it is nice to have a quick shutter speed. I think that it takes pretty good pictures both indoors and outdoors, too. I was relieved to have found this camera after trying a few others and finding them to be pretty bad (grainy, fuzzy, slow). DSLR would be awesome, but this one is fairly impressive, and it you can fit it in a purse or jacket pocket.
