I just learned that the LEGO Elsa’s Glittering Ice Castle that isn’t supposed to be released until January 1st is currently in stock and being sold at many Target locations! If they do not yet have it on the shelf, you can ask the store to look it up in their inventory to see if they have it. They will sell it to you if they do. The retail price is $39.99 and you can only find it in stores right now.

So bummed. Sold out in PA Targets by me. Staff was helpful and checked when next truck comes. Will try again in am. Congrats to all the lucky ones who found it. I so want this for my 5 yr old daughter! She asked for nothing for Christmas and says she will be happy with what Santa decides so this would be AWESOME. Fingers crossed.

Hi Brandy, I went to Target again 2 days ago but they told me they don’t have any more in stock. Not sure if they sold them or if they got a memo saying not to sell them anymore. Sorry but I would have mailed you one if they had it in stock.

OMG -the lego’s for this are SO SMALL . . . My son got the Lego Jr. FireStation set for his birthday and the pieces are so tiny I can’t stand it!!. Hands down the BEST Lego purchase ever was the Lego Duplo Disney Princess Cinderella Castle -it’s $39.99 on Amazon right now and both my kids play with All The TIME! and I have a 4 year old boy and 6 year old girl. It just actually makes a cool castle . . . buy that and few small frozen toys and you will be grateful your not picking up tiny legos off your carpet 🙂
This reminds me of the many times someone on television (comedy) or my very own sister has wished someone “I hope you step on a Lego.” LOL! It’s SO true! Nonchalantly walking along barefoot and all of a sudden you step on a Lego! THE.WORST. Well, that and those darn Hi-Ho Cherries! One of those surprised me while flying down the stairs … Remember it to this day. Ugh!

Thank you!!!!!! The website you gave listed availability at my local PA store and there were 12 listed as available. When I went to the store they weren’t on the shelf, but an employee pulled one from the back for me and then put the others on the shelf!!! My daughter will LOVE this, and so much of a sweeter surprise since she doesn’t know it exists!

Craziness!!! I went to several targets and they didn’t have any even though they said they did online. At the last Target, they said “sorry, we’re out,” but some guy overheard me asking and he had bought an extra one to sell and make a profit; but after talking to me he agreed to sell it to me at retail and I just picked it up from him!!! My daughter is going to be soooo excited!

Ask them to use the DCPI number 086-14-2474. That’s how they found mine in the back.

I was able to run to Target and buy the 2 I found mixed in with repunzle legos!
Every Target near me I’ve called sees it in the inventory But can’t find them… 🙁

My Target was superhelpful and helped me find one at a nearby Target, just a short 30 minute drive – but so worth it. So happy to have this in time for Christmas, my daughter is going to be so happy!
I also happened to find a Jasmine lego set at Target that was not set for relase until Jan 1st!
If it was Street Dated then those stores that sold them are held to the contract carries a $3,00 – 10,000 fine per item sold. Not only that, but the people who get if for the Guests who request them WILL be FIRED when it’s discovered.
Do you have a source for this information, or is it just some random statement to put a damper on other people who are trying to find this for their kids? You really think they are going to go back and watch video surveillance for every one of the thousands of these sold so they can track down the college kid working to put himself through school, and fire him for helping a customer?
If they were under that kind of fine, the shipping box would have a do not sell before date on it (It doesn’t, they gave me the lego shipping box with the two I bought) and their systems would be programed to reject the sale at the register.
Just sayin’…
Thanks so much for the information, I was at a Lego store this morning and they told me I would not be able to get them until sometime in January. But after reading your post and checking the inventory I was able to find all four sets here in Northern Virginia. sets.
Just an FYI, if you are in Augusta, GA, the Target on Robert C Daniels just put what they have on the shelf. Act fast because these won’t last. I also saw two of the Jasmines one. And I was able to score the Lego sort and store that is normally $39.99 for $23.98 by price matching it with their online price.

Not able to purchase….I was told by a Target employee that all Target stores received a memo today that these may NOT be sold before Jan. 1. The guy told me that some had been sold and that those that sold them are in BIG trouble.
Got the Elsa one today in greensboro, nc! I gave them the dcpi number and they looked in the back and got it.

Your information is correct, the Frozen sets were made available this past Friday in Target. We will not be releasing them ourselves until January, 2015.
In other words, I don’t think they can be ordered online for purchase through Lego.
Darn, mine has them but won’t sell them until Jan 1. Said sometimes the inexperienced sales team will put them out, but they are not supposed to.
My targets in NJ (I went to 3 that the site says has them) All said they don’t have them in stock when I asked them to check in the back, they said they wouldn’t because it isn’t showing up on their handheld system. So sad. I was hoping to get one for my 8 year old daughter.
Bought all 6 off the shelf at my target. Find them on eBay. Free shipping!
I generally dislike it when people clear the shelves. Thankfully, I was able to purchase one at Target for my daughter, so I won’t be looking for yours on eBay.
Thank you. I saw that there was one in stock at the Target nearby and to my surprise it was actually on the shelf in the same slot as Lego Rapunzel Caste.
I saw this today, and was able to secure one and pick it up at an area Target without any issue. The two I called had one listing they had 8, but none when I called. The other listed one, and they were able to find it and hold it for me.
I was done Christmas shopping, but could not pass this up for my Lego/Disney loving daughter.
I have searched every where in my area. My daughter asked santa for this and i cant find it.
