My 12 y/o daughter, the “artist” has something similar & LOVES it… I also find myself playing with it when I’m in the area😉, it’s pretty amazing!

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

      SWEET! 🙂

  2. Gina

Johanne’s has it at $17 regular priced, you can use one of those 40% coupons they always have… Great deal!

    • Erica

Wow Gina ty! Guess I will be going to Joanns and NOT Target lol Btw, I’d kinetic sand the better route? 3yr old son loves to play with sand at the neighbors house and I believe that’s what her mom called it. Any input is appreciated. Hate wasting money on something of its not gonna hold up. Tia

      • Erica

Is* not I’d darn auto correct and

        • Happymama

Don’t you love auto correct? lol I was texting another associate about work the other day and somehow the word “Bonsai” came out. Strange lol

      • Angela

This is the same as kinetic sand.

        • Erica

I understand it’s the same concept just didn’t know if it was as great as the actual name brand KINETIC sand. Ty

          • Cara

It’s nowhere close to the same as actual kinetic sand – I got this brand with a Black Friday sale, and we used it once and never again. Also it smelled like dry erase markets – the dye I think.

            • Erica

that’s what I was afraid of Cara! Ty for your honest opinion and I will pass. You have made my mind up… lol Merry Christmas!

      • Heather B.

kinetic sand doesn’t hold up like they say it does. Crazy sand is definitely the better buy

    • Cindi

Are you sure it’s the creation station? Crazy sand has quite a few smaller sets priced around $19.99 – I’ve never known target to be that far off in value before so I just wanted to confirm. Thanks!

  3. Sarah

The coupon says “creation station.” I know it has a pic of the castle one but I wonder if you can get other sets too, I wanted a smaller one for my son. Maybe I’ll have to drop by there today.

    • Michele

It says that other sets are excluded.

  4. Noemi

We also got these on black Friday’s. The red one smells awful. The sand color is okay, it’s just that’s it’s so messy. Left me with sand all over my living room floor.

    • Tricia

We are really on the fence on buying this for my girls! They really want this for Christmas, but my husband is worried that it will only make a mess all over the house!! Thanks for your input…maybe we will skip this product if it is messy 🙁 Anyone else have similar or different experience with this sand product? TIA!

    • Erica

gross NO fun! Think I will wait on a different Kinetic deal then lol you suggest any?

  5. dander

Starting tomorrow Sunday Michael’s will have Creatology Kinetic Sand kits in six colors for 9.99 while supplies last.

    • Erica

great thanks for the heads up, after hearing all the negative comments on this set I will wait and get this sand tomorrow. Merry Christmas Dander!

    • Gretchen

I just bought it at Michaels for 12.99, you think they will refund the difference?

    • Erin

Michaels has one-pound boxes for $9.99 now. I was considering getting some as a gift but it is just a box of sand–no sandbox, molds, or toys. I wish they had an all-in-one set.

    • rie

Michael’s is 1 lb of colored sand $9.99 (which is not a lot of sand). Brookstone’s kinetic sand (plain sand color) 2.2 lbs for $20. (Which is still not a lot of sand between my girls) My 4 & 2 yo plays for hrs with this! It can get a little messy but the clean up is a breeze. I have them play on a serving tray and I put a blanket/ flat sheet/or beach towel on the floor for an easy clean up. I have them use cookie cutters and beach toy molds with these. My 2 hrs of free time is worth the 5 min clean up!

There was an older gentleman carrying this around our Target toy section this am, so I asked him if he knew this was on a cartwheel deal today. He didn’t, so I walked him to check out, let him use my phone for the cartwheel scan. Plus he had a Target ad that had the set priced at $30, so the cashier price matched to $30 and applied the cartwheel 50%. He was over the moon excited cause his granddaughter had really wanted it for awhile and it felt great to share the deal love! He said he’d purchased a smaller set at Michaels for $24, but this set was even better, so now he could return the other set to Michael’s.

Not telling this story as a rah-rah to me, but rather the power of sharing the deal love!

So in that spirit, a free 8×8 hard cover photo book code…PLEASE post if you use it and pay it forward by sharing a deal with someone else! Merry Christmas all!

(I thought the ad was current, and the cashier didn’t check either but I’m seeing now it isn’t on sale for $30 and it was likely an old ad his grandchild had saved for him, ooops!)

    • Just Me

Most ppl look at me crazy when I do that! Ha. Glad you helped

    • Erica

So cool of ya! Love stories like this… using your book code for my daughter ty ♡

    • Happymama

Love that story! 🙂 I think us savvy couponers should step up and help our elders save money. I try to point out deals in the isle, or share my coupons with older ladies. It’s just the right thing to do!
