My amazing sidekick, Erica, had her sweet baby boy last night… 2 months early. Thankfully, they are both doing great. I wanted to share this with all of you because life is beautiful…

Like many of you, I am the mom of a preemie. While it was scary at the time and there are many ups and downs, we look back on that time in the NICU as such a blessing. We were in a little cocoon where the only thing that mattered was our baby and bonding as a family. When my second child came early as well, I wasn’t nearly as worried because of the wonderful care our first child received. Enjoy your little blessing!
Congratulations! My daughter was born 13 weeks early at 1 lb. 14 oz. she’s about to turn 13 and at 4 ft. 11-1/2 inches she’s almost as tall as I am. It’s hard in the beginning but it gets easier. Good luck to you and your family.

I had premiee twins in October. Born 12 weeks early . Weighing in at 1lb 3 oz and the other 2lb. They r still in the progressive care. Not a very merry Christmas for us but leaning on prayers to help us through.
Amanda, I just said a prayer for you guys. You can do this girl! You are a mama and we are strong. You are not alone. Keep leaning on those prayers.

Congrats and well wishes to Erica and her baby boy. I had my first, a baby boy, in August 8 weeks early too. It can be an emotional rollercoaster but we’ve been home a few months and loving on him like crazy. He probably wishes he had some space lol. Merry Christmas to you, your family, Erica and her baby boy and family too. Family and friends mean everything and my experience just showed me how much we were loved. Appreciate all the work you do to save money for all of us…its really helped me this year!! Happy Holidays!!

Congrats to Erica and her family. Our daughter Ella was born 10 weeks early. She is a healthy 9 year old. Now I am a huge supporter of the March of Dimes. So much of the care she received came from their research. The also have so many resources for parents of preemies on their website. I hope that he’ll be coming home soon.

So glad you both are safe. 3 years ago, my daughter was also born Dec 22nd, she was 3 months early so I was discharged on Christmas day and so incredibly heartbroken that my baby couldn’t come home with us. But she is safe and healthy and that’s all I can hope for. You, baby, and your family are in my prayers. Stay strong!
