Is this only available in store? I’m not seeing these prices online.

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Yes, these sale items are valid in-store only.

I went to Staples today and bought the 5 reem paper they have for $29.99 along with the staples coupon which gives an OOP $25 then submit for the $24 rebate you posted earlier. Price matched the sharpies to Office Depot for $1 then used $1 off coupon in 12/7 SS. Got a pack of bounty paper towels and used the $5 of $25 staples coupon. So, after the rebate $2 tax for everything. (When figuring in $24 rebate).

    • Just Me

Is the rebate cash back or a store credit?

      • Pinki

The rebate is a check that comes in the mail.

    • kat

      It’s actually a Visa card

    • su

based on this quote “When I use coupons the value is distributed among the items. If I buy a $5 item and a $3 item and a $2 item and use a $1 off coupon (no matter which item it is for) it would take .50 off the $5 item, .30 off the $3 item and .20 off the $2 item.” Wont you not get the full rebate as the bulk of the $5 will come off of the paper? Have you done this before successfully?

    • su

kat, in what order did the cashier scan the coupons?

So your total was @37 before coupons. then -5 for paper coupon -1 insert coupon -5 for 5.25 coupon= $26+tax rebate of r $24
      TIA

      • Kat

He said the $4.99 off paper coupon had to go first or it wouldn’t work. Then the $5 off $25 then the mq for the sharpies. I didn’t realize there was a paper towel coupon until I got home :-(.

Does Staples accept printable coupons?? I’ve never tried to purchase items there using coupons but I’ve read that they only accept inserts from the newspaper..

    • MissiontoSave

I have used printable coupons at my store before, so yes they should work.

  4. Shyann

So does the $5 off $25 coupon work along with the 5 ream paper deal? Do you still get the rebate? Also is it store credit or cash back?

    • Pinki

The rebate is a check that is delivered by mail.

  5. cham

Have anyone used more than 1 MQ at the Staples store for a deal like this one? (I’ve been told in the past that they can not accept more than 1MQ per transaction)

  6. Chris

I have used more than one coupon before when purchasing coffee.

  7. Angie

I’m new to couponing, so are you saying that Staples accepts double coupons on the charmin and brawny you have listed here? Plus I can use the $5 off/$25 purchase. So a total of 5 coupons? Thanks in advance!!

    • Caitlen

Yes, Angie. I just did this deal today. At my Staples the Charmin says it’s $7.99, but it rings up as $5.99. So don’t get worried when you see that. I got a bag of Doritos for a filler item as the cheap stuff was already gone.

  8. Lisa B

Can anyone print Red Plum coupons? They never print for me.

  9. Flo

There is a .55 coupon for Charmin Basic 12 ct right now, which would make a better deal.

  10. Nicole

Welp tried to do this deal today and my staples told me they could not take the store coupon and the mq’s that I could only use one or the other. Is this common practice? I am in lincolnton,nc

  11. Rachel

So I went to staples today, and I asked the manager if I could use two staples coupons on one transaction? And suggested that if I buy the 5 ream of paper rebate one and buy charmin or bounty that was on Sale for $5.99, could I use the coupon for the paper and the $5/$25 coupon…His response was, you shouldn’t be able to but because this was the last day for this sale, he said he would do it. He said I could not stack it with a manufacturer coupon though. And he did say that I could not buy only the paper and use both coupons. So it seems it may be hit or miss depending on what the manager is willing to do.

So I paid about $28 (like $27.83), and will get $24 back. I paid $4 oop for the 5 paper set and the paper towel…they were out of the chamin…:( I also used the $20 bonus coupon that I got for buying $100 in egift cards last week, so I actually made $16.00 on this purchase!!! I think I learned of this one from hip2save so…Thank you for that deal last week! So that $16 off means, I actually got the $100 egift card for $84, or received $16 towards my previous purchase with it.

Oh, and my husband had used some of the egift cards to buy me a PAPERCUTTER!!! Only my fellow hip2savers would appreciate that as a christmas gift. I love it!
