  Me either. I’ve seen several mentions of it but I checked my both of my SS’s and it’s not in either of them 🙁

   I tried the sharpie deal but both the cashier and manager said can’t give it to me for free. The coupon appear to say not valid on promotional items. Oh well.

  Are there promo packs, they argued that since the sharpies are on sale, therefore its a promotional item excluded by the coupon.

  I just did last week’s sharpie deal but had to get a manager to override the coupon. I guess it’s a managers discretion type of thing?

  I had a problem but they finally took them in 2 separate transactions. They only wanted to do 1 coupon per transaction and I wanted to buy 2 packs of the Sharpies. The cashier kept on telling me that they don’t get paid for the coupons, which is false since it’s a manufacturer’s coupon.

  The only reason they wouldn’t get paid is if they had been engaged in coupon fraud and the manufacturers cut them off. This is the first time that I have had a problem at Office Depot with them accepting my coupons and these weren’t printed but were from the newspaper inserts.

   Office Depot wouldn’t accept my coupon for the $1 pens today either. The cashier said “the company” can’t accept it because then it would mean they would be giving free pens. I told her, “Yeah, that’s the idea!” But she said ‘sorry’ they won’t let her accept it. Maybe I’ll try the price matching thing at Wal-Mart…Did everyone have luck getting free pens there?
