If you’re looking for a unique way to eat grapefruit, try broiling it in the oven! This recipe makes a yummy, quick and easy snack, light dessert, or even breakfast idea.
Broiled Cinnamon Ginger Grapefruit
(Recipe adapted from FoodNetwork.com)
one red grapefruit (cut in half)
1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon ground ginger
1 and 1/2 tablespoon brown sugar
dollop of vanilla Greek yogurt (optional)
Cut a grapefruit in half and slice both ends just a little so each half will lay flat on a baking sheet. Mix brown sugar, cinnamon and ginger and sprinkle on top of grapefruit. Broil for about 4-6 minutes in the oven until brown. Watch carefully to make sure they do not burn. Top with Greek yogurt if desired. (Serves two)
