Beware of this company! I ordered one on Nov 27th 2014 they took my money via paypal yet never sent me the product. No record of my order on my Nume Account page either. I tried contacting them 4 times and never heard back. I never got my wand or my money back! They do not answer calls themselves it is through a 3rd party so get no answers!

No it wasn’t just a PayPal issue. I ordered 5 different products and it took me blowing up there Instagram, twitter, Facebook, call line, and opening a case with BBB to get my items. MANY people had the same issue. If you check past reviews around Christmas and Thanksgiving you will see.
For sure not a paypal issue the company was paid by me through paypal just as it should have been done. The company is the ones who dropped the ball and never sent my product.
Sorry to hear, I ordered the reserved on Black Friday for $23 and a 32mm on cyber Monday for around $30. I got both with no problems, really quick too and loving my wands.

I ordered from Nume for Black Friday and did 4 orders. I received all 4 orders within 2 weeks which I think is a great turn around time due to the time of the year. I love my Nume curling wand & straightener! I gave the other 2 as gifts.
One bad experience doesn’t mean others will have the same problem. I got my order with no issues at all and the product is great. Curls my hair when nothing else I’ve tried so far would.
I ordered from them a couple months ago and received my curler in less than a week. Great turn around time!

I had the same issue i ordered in November, except I got charged twice! I paid through PayPal so they filed a claim and refunded both charges. Never saw a product, waited 4 weeks to file the PayPal claim too.
Same thing happened to me only via CC. Fighting charges still.
I have to agree. I order on Black Friday and because there website was so bogged down it ended up placing 6 orders. I tried calling and could not get through so emailed. They refunded 4 of the charges. I also got the wrong wand. It comes with no return instructions. I am still waiting on a response on how to return, if they are going to ship the correct wand, and the 5th charge.`Good thing it wasn’t a Christmas gift!
This is not one bad experience. Clearly they are not equipped to deal with any issues so if you have any good luck. When you do reach someone on the phone they just open another ticket via email.

Came quickly not same
I order the classic curling wand 25MM the other day (the one that’s black from head to toe). That one only has on/off button so I guess the current promo “Magic” wand would be a better choice, since it seems to come with temperature control.
I was wondering why people swear by it and say how long the curls last, then I found out why– it was because the wand can get extremely hot. I have thick straight hair and my girl has medium straight hair. Whenever I wrap our hair on the wand I can see smoke coming out (although no burnt smell). One time I slipped and the tip of the wand dropped on my knee, it was extremely painful. A blister formed the size of a shirt’s button within one minute.
Would not recommend this for younger girls or someone who has small kids at home. This thing could be very dangerous.

that’s why it comes with a glove that you’re suppose to use with it. i used it and had absolutely no problems.
Err… I did wear a glove on my hand, but did not wear a glove on my knee, that’s where I got injured. Do you have any suggestions?

The “smoke” is not smoke. It’s just steam coming from the heat of the wand reacting to the excess product on your hair!
I was concerned coz the intensity of the smoke, and it came out right away. I think you’re right. I’ve touch hot curling iron countless times before and this is the first one I got injured from.
If you get a burn in the future, get white paste toothpaste on it as fast as possible. It “pulls” the sting out of it and the blister/mark is minimal. We’ve been doing this for over 20 years since someone told us about it at the races (easy place to get a muffler burn) and it has always drastically minimized the results of the burn.

SecondSkin burn pads help. They are gentle gel pads, can be cut to size, and made to soothe and heal burns faster.

I ordered from Nume twice and received both shipments very quickly within days. Awesome wand! I used it on my nieces hair which has never been able to hold a curl and when I curled it with the nume wand the curls lasted for 2 days! Love the wands 🙂
I love Nume! I had their sets… Just a caution to first time users, use the glove. It is really painful when you get burned. It took me awhile to get the hang of using it but the results are awesome! I always get compliments.

I bought this around Black Friday when the products were $21. I can’t believe they actually are able to get away with charging $170 for this!!! I was so unimpressed and have seen better results from a similar product from Wal-Mart. I don’t get the hype surrounding these things….
I looooove mine. I also ordered from the last time posted (before Christmas). I watched a few you tube videos to help me get a better idea of how to use it. It is so fast and yes the curl holds for a long time. I am very happy with mine. Yes it gets extremely hot that is why it is so fast, but once it is off and/or unplugged it cools off pretty quickly. Just take the time to get aclimated to it, read directions. I would definitely purchase it all over again. 🙂
ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS PRODUCT!! I love curling my hair and I think it’s amazing! It’s lightweight and my curls stay in all day. It does get hot but every wand i’ve ordered has come with a black heat proof glove with is absolutely recommended to use it with if you have never used a wand before. Since i’ve curled my hair a lot, I know where and how to use it so I don’t use the glove. But anyway, AMAZING product and I recommend it to anyone who wants to curl their hair!
My daughter has fine straight hair, and we have the 25mm classic. She loves when Mommy curls it, so I was excited to share this 😃 I always use heat protecting spray and only curl it 1-2 times a week so it doesn’t damage her hair.

I just used mine last night that I got from the last time a similar Nume deal was posted (32mm classic wand). It was a little tricky to use at first, but got easier as I went along. It gets very, very hot–curls take 2-5 secs to hold, so curling hair won’t take long at all once I get the hang of it. Very pretty curls, too! The gloves help prevent burnt fingers, but watch out for your neck! Overall, I think I’ll love this wand. I’m too cheap to pay more than $100 for it, but think it’s a good deal for the price I paid. Oh, & it’s very lightweight, so no worn out arms while curling all of my thick, long hair! 🙂
I order and never heard back or got order confirmation. I finally got intouch with someone and they refunded my money. I think they were out of what i irdered but not sure.
I ordered one around the 1st of December. They were running way behind with all of the black Friday orders so it took forever to ship, but once it shipped it arrived in 2 days. Works great so far!
I had the same experience… Ordered and paid via paypal. I could never get through to the company BC I never received my wand although they took payment. I had to file a paypal claim to get my money back. I know this happened to many other people too based on comments from previous offers.

Im sorry to say Im not very happy with my nume straightner. I expected more for the money I paid for it. Lets hope they will give me a refund since others are having payment problems. 🙁

Ordered on Black Friday. Was charged for 4. Only refunded one although I’ve called and submitted tickets. Their customer service is terrible. Check their customer service reviews. Some people were overcharged 400 to 600 dollars. Great product. Sad that they’re immoral and not honest with their service. If you can get charged only once and get the product..you’re fine. But if you have any problems, they’re not going to make it right. They have complaints on BBB as well. Just be careful.
I’ve had good experiences with nume in the past the products are really high-quality and my my items I ordered came in quickly.
I cannot even begin to say how amazing this product is! LOVE it! I have thin hair that does not hold a curl well at all. This curling wand blew me away! It curls in seconds and my curls last for days. NEVER has that happened with any other expensive iron and using even the most expensive products. It’s unfortunate some are reporting problems with not getting their orders. This is my third purchase and I haven’t had a single problem. It sounds like most of the problems occurred during their Black Friday sale when their site was slammed and likely couldn’t handle the load. Hopefully that was a unusual circumstance and won’t happen again. Trust me, this wand is well worth taking a chance on!
