   I have the original Sleep Sound from Hammacher Schlemmer…I tell you..that thing owes me NOTHING! I got it at a garage sale for $5 in 1985 and have used it every nigh! It is the most soothing thing to sleep to! I bought one for all of my kids! I hope this one has a nice quality sound because I ordered it for my new grandson, coming in 5 weeks!

   Yippee!!! My daughter’s $50 one that I received at the baby shower has seen better days. After being dropped numerous times it only works effectively on low and the outer piece is broken. So excited to try this one for $14.99!!!

  I’m not sure how long they have been there, but it seems like a long time. How do you think she supports this site where you get to see deals for free? Her and her helpers put a lot of work into this and they should get something for it at least enough to cover expenses. It’s really not that big of a deal. I don’t even notice them anymore.

   I’ve been listening to white noise on my headphones when I study for the past two semesters and I believe it has truly helped. It keeps me focused when I’m in a quite library and cancels everything out when I’m at my noisy house. I tried listening to some white noise on my phone’s speakers last night to help me sleep and it ended up spooking me!

   Is there a difference in quality when listening through headphones compared to speakers or does it just depend on the person?

    I own one and I cannot sleep without. We also run one for our dog during the day to drown out the outside noises to reduce barking. Worth every penny. I paid $50 for my first one. Great deal.

    We had this sound machine bought at Bed Bath and Beyond. I would not give it good reviews. Something broke inside it and it rattled and squeaked and just made awful noises. And this was just from normal occasional use, was never dropped or mishandled. And it broke after only 6 months and we paid $30. I wouldn’t recommend it. I would recommend the Marpac Dohm original sound machine. Pricy but worth it.

    I bought 2 of these last month, and like them a lot, I have a son with special needs and he has a hard time at night. These help my other two boys sleep through it! They just sound like the bathroom fan, but without putting our heating bill through the roof.
