  Not like toddler friendly – there are some pretty dark parts (from a little one’s standpoint, obviously).
  It isnt bad, just not… Epic

  I totally agree with you…there are some dark parts i really didn’t want my 4 yr old to see..but thats just me..

  It’s like a kid version of Lord of the Rings…action packed and scary bad guys. Better for bigger kids who can handle that.

   Thanks! We already own the DVD, but i bought the combo. $5.99 to have it available on their tablets cant be beat!

   Also got Alpha and Omega 3 disc combo for $5, Rio 3 disc combo for $5, and Alvin and The Chipmunks Shipwrecked 3 disc combo for $5.

   My kids love this movie and got it when they were 2 and 3…..some parts are a little harsher than some movies, but I really didn’t think it was bad. I mean, we watched Bambi as kids…..

  What are the “dark” parts everyone is talking about?? killings?? Fight scenes?? I was a little annoyed at Toy Story for them using words like “idiot” and “moron”. So I would prob find this “dark” stuff horrible!

  The ‘bad’ guys decay the woods and the good guys try to save them. The decay part is pretty realistic and the concept is very well animated, including dying trees, whighering grass, etc. some death as well (dont want to give any spoilers), lots of fighting, too, (bows and arrows) and the main evil dude with a serious grudge and an anger problem. Not for toddlers, IMO, but, like Taya said, ‘that’s just me’.
