Question.. Since you can get a free refill (brewed or Ice coffee no matter what original drink was) when you are Gold Status, does it allow you a free refill when you used an reward for a free drink? Just wondering if anyone has tried. 😊
I’m sure you could, if you ordered brewed or iced (plain coffee). I don’t think there are refills on lattes, frappuccinos, or other “fancy” drinks.
You can get a refill of brewed coffee if you order brewed coffee or a “fancy” coffee.

Yes. Did that twice over the weekend. Friday got a decaf brewed coffee using an empty Starbucks coffee bag. Got a free refill using my gold card; it made the hard week I had almost worthwhile. Sunday I enjoyed a decaf venti yummy free latte (skinny cinnamon dolce, 160 calories) and got a cup of decaf brewed coffee for the road.

Question… when you are gold and can get free refills.. do you have to stay in store or can you leave and return later for the free refill?

Technically, you’re not supposed to leave the area (I read this somewhere). When it’s nice weather we often sit outside the shop, and we’ve actually been questioned before about if we had left the area. It can kind of depends on your barista, and maybe how well they know you.
I asked this question at my Starbucks and they said you are supposed to stay but he didn’t think it was a big deal. In fact, he felt that was an advantage of being Gold. I had left for about 2 hours to watch my son’s soccer game and it did work. I got an iced coffee to take home and drink the next day. Make sure you you go back to the same Starbucks. I tried once at a different one and it didn’t work but that was awhile ago.

#19 and #20 should email or call customer service. If you aren’t sure about “handcrafted” ask the barista before you order. #18–There is a “card”/section of the menu which lists espresso drinks. Again, if you aren’t sure, ask your friendly and knowledgeable barista. They should be trained to know these things. If you don’t get your stars, let customer service know. They should take care of you.
