It has a picture of a little dog, so is that what size this is for? I have a collie and been looking for a reasonably priced one for him, any thoughts?

I think this would be too small for a collie. We got a nice 36×40 bed at Costco for our Boxita for around $30 almost a year ago. It has held up really nice and she loves it. They had some just a couple weeks ago that had a back on them like this one for around $40.

Currently our Sam’s Club has small dog sofas (they look like round sofas) for $28.98, and its big enough for out Great Pyrenees.

We have two dogs and their favorite beds are the memory foam ones that we got at Sams. I think it was about $30. It is great because we have hardwood floors and they don’t sink through cheap batting of normal beds. We even lucked out once and found a cheap memory foam bed at our Marshalls.

Of only our dog would sleep in a bed instead of destroy it. Anyone know of.anything good for biters. Once i bought on of those hard bones for chewing and he destroyed it in 2-3 days

Deer Antlers – whole, not cut in half lengthwise. Depending on the dog size the bigger or smaller antler. My dog is a professional chewer … she will chew through most any KONG toy out there and the Deer Antlers have been amazing. Most pet stores will carry them (just make sure you get the whole antler – they will sometimes slice them length wise and the middle is exposed. Or buy them online. She has had one since Christmas 2013 and its now a little nub of bone (maybe the size of a pez refill pack). It started off about the size of large banana.

i second deer antlers. I have a jack russel mix that is a major major chewer. she goes through 1 deer antler every 6 months. they are expensive, 20 dollars for a size for her (she’s 12 pounds) but they last and keep her from chewing other things. I also agree only get the whole ones, not cut in half lengthwise. the cut in half lengthwise ones do not last as long.

Our tractor supply sells 2-packs of antlers and bison hooves for $5.99 and they work well for seasons!

Does your dog get enough exercise? My lab will chew things up (including a dog bed) if we don’t exercise her for an hour or more of hard exercise after work. She’s not crated during the day either and we have a huge yard. But we have to throw the tennis ball for an hour to tire her out and get her energy out. If we skip a night for various weather related reasons, we have to be so careful about what’s left out in her reach because it could easily be destroyed. We let her chew sticks inside. It makes a mess and we vacuum up a lot of bark, but if we give her a big stick from our yard, she’s happy as a clam! She also loves red barn’s filled dog bones (lamb or bacon are her favorite flavors) because they keep her busy for hours trying to get all the filling out of the middle. Don’t buy peanut butter though, that stuff comes out too easy and takes all the fun out of it.

At this price, it makes a great bed to donate to your local animal shelter. 🙂

My mom found a really nice orthopedic bed at Sam’s for $30. I can’t remember the brand but they sell for over $60 on amazon. It is a nice size and would definitely be big enough for a collie

Thank you! Just ordered two…one for our puppy for in his crate and one for the cats to fight over.

Dang! Missed it! It’s up to $29.95 now.

Just ordered one at $18.99 price, thanks! Bought exact same bed a year ago on Amazon and it is just now beginning to look worn down due to repetitive washing and drying. I have a five pound Yorkie that fits comfortably in this bed. I would not recommend a size small for any dog larger than a toy breed.

I got a heated bed that plugs in. Our cat loves it — sleeps in it day and night. We get much better sleep ourselves now that she isn’t between our legs!

My dog is always hot. Wish there was a cooling pet bed. And one for me too., 😀
