This event starts today! Head over to your local Toys R Us or Babies R Us for the Great Trade-In Event which runs through February 21st. For each item that you trade in, you will snag a 25% off discount on participating product categories from participating manufacturers.
Keep in mind that you can trade in these used items regardless of whether you purchased the item from a Toys R Us/Babies R Us store and you do NOT need a receipt to trade-in a used item. You can trade in multiple items during the program and you will receive savings for each item traded in. However, you may only use one savings coupon per each new item purchased. The catch for me is I don’t have something new to buy right way, and the 25% coupon is only valid on the day of trade in.
Wait… I might not be reading it right. Maybe you can use the coupon on a different day before 2/21/2015? Also you can only use coupon on “participating product categories and from the participating manufacturers”. I wish they had made it clear which ones.

Thanks I did see that. The problem is the interpretation. Yes I get the part that they issue the coupon on the day you do the trade in, but do you have to use the coupon on that same day or do you have till Feb 21?
the 25% off coupon is good until 2/21, you don’t have to use it the same day
Does anyone have experience with this sale? If you bring in an old car seat, do you have to purchase a new car seat? or can you use the 25% off on any new item you need? Also…. is there an age limit on the used items you can trade in? For example, a 12 yr old car seat?

Age of trade in item should not matter. They just want to make a sale and “recycle” your old one. Doesn’t have to be item you are purchasing, but to make sure, call your store for specifics.
Can you use the 25% off coupon online?
I had the same question, the item I want isn’t sold in store so I hope so. If anyone does the trade in, please read voucher and let us know.
I was told I could not order anything online and use the 25%coupon it had to be available in store.
I actually work there. You can get items offline however you do need to go into the store to do it. There is a special coupon that they have for online orders and it will not apply to any item with a price ending in an 8.
I’m not sure if they changed the rules but 3 years ago when I went to trade something in, I had to buy something new the exact day of the trade. Not a bad thing if you already know what to get but if you’re undecided it’s best to make up your mind on what you want to get the day you go to trade in your old item.
Does anyone know if BRU is going to have the $4 clothing sale again? With the 20% off coupon? That sale was awesome. I bought stuff in every size for my then 1yo.

I’ve read that multiple people have asked and the employees said they aren’t doing it this year. It was Jan 15-18 last year. I’m bummed 🙁
I remember last year people posted some awesome clothing clearance here…people found some baby clothes for $.50!!!!! Does anyone have updates abt that clearance or any other??? Any info will be appreciated thanks 🙂
I was at my BRU last night and clothes and shoes were 50% of the ticketed clearance price. Not sure when it may go lower.

I would say you can’t do both. The coupon says it has to be a regular priced item.
No you cannot use the 25% and price match, it is one or the other. The only thing you can stack with the trade in coupon is the 15% you would get if you get approved for their credit card. Other than that there is nothing else you can use.
I have a graco high chair that I need to replace . It doesn’t have the seat pad though, will they accept that as a trade in?

I bought an awesome Diono seat using the 25% off from a trade in AND was able to add another 15% off for opening a credit card! I ended up only paying $210!!! So stoked!
Do you think they would take something pretty small like an umbrella stroller and give me 25% off a nice big double stroller? I have a umbrella stroller with a bad wheel and instead of just throwing it out hopefully I can use it on a bigger item!

when i went to the local store, i felt like almost all of the prices were 20 to 30% more than amazon prime. maybe I am wrong. this deal will just help me clear out old expired items, and replace them with better updated things. but I will be combing and searching better before the deal ends
Can you still use the multiples discount with this offer. I have twins and new to trade in two car seats for two new ones is it possible to use the multiples 15% with the 25% for the trade in?
