Hi I want to know did the post of $7 off staples had removed or I am blind ?

    • Jessie

      It was deleted it appears

    • Stacey C

I believe it’s been removed because I don’t see it any longer either.

    • sarah

It wasn’t legit, orders got cancelled

    • Erica

      Yes. It was removed.

    • sonia

Oh that’s explanation why I never received the confirmation order by email and I checked the history order there’s disappear.

      • Susan

If the $7 code was invalid, why did the Staples check-out procedure accept the code. I have found on all other sites, if an invalid coupon code is entered, you are promptly notified that the code is invalid or not recognized. It appears Staples check-out software is not sophisticated enough to recognize invalid codes and it needs to be corrected. A huge corporation like Staples, should have sent an email admitting their error, honoring perhaps 1-5 orders per customer, swallowed the miniscule loss, rather than making many people unhappy with their customer service. I don’t think it would have been unreasonable on their part to deny orders up and above that amount.

        • Susan

In addition, I can honestly say, when I placed 3 orders, it never occurred to me that it could be invalid. I just thought it was a great deal. Why would anyone have felt that way, when the orders went through, like any other order on Staples.

          • Just Me

Yeah I typed the code in wrong the first time and it immediately said invalid code. Typed it in correctly and the code was valid at the time! Guess they could have come up with a better excuse but whatever.

        • Felicia

…I’m certainly not looking to start a debate, but human (and computer) errors happen. The post including a warning that orders *may be cancelled*. For Staples, or any other company, to honor multiple orders from one customer seems a bit much to ask, at least I think so.

          • Joy

            I 100% agree.

        • Sunny

Staples has to be one of the worst retailers and probably why you always hear about stores closing… in less than a yr I’ve been promised to have the difference of a gift certificate / coupon mailed to me for an online order (when it was about to expire to extend it… didn’t ask it’s offered). Of course, it never arrives! I’ve even escalated issues to Management. Customer Service is a joke to them.
There system should be able to distinguish is code is valid esp. if they’re taking your credit card. It makes no sense! There are more than one Office Supply companies!

          • katie

I completely agree! Their site is horrible even when you are buying something at regular price. I’ve bought over $1000 in merchandise in a single transaction online and couldn’t get my rewards number to go through, called customer service and basically got a sorry about your luck response. Not to include the hassles that they have when they sell items multiple times a year, you get a confirmation and then a week later get an email saying they cannot fulfill your request. At least in my store, they never have anything in stock and the customer service is down right horrible. They do not care. I have spoken with one woman one time through their 800 number who was nice.

    • Angela

Yeah mine got cancelled this morning

  2. Mels

Yeah it was sure deleted!! I also got a confirmation last night saying they cancelled my orders due to invalid coupon code!!!!

  3. Chrissie

I placed two orders and only one appears to have been cancelled as per their email.

  4. eyez1998

I received an email from kohls for a coupon worth 20, 30, or 40% if anyone wants it. I haven’t checked the percentage. Eyez1998@comcast.net

  5. Chrissy

Can you buy a Fitbit with the coupon?

    • Stephanie

I did not see that in the list of exclusions.

    • Ginni

The Fitbit does not get any further discounts. I just tried.

  6. Stephanie

Just an FYI – there is a list of exclusions including several brands of ink and also says each item can only be discounted by one coupon… Bummer!

Thank you so much! Had a hard time reading on line and couldn’t seem to remember how to make it larger. Bless you.

  7. amy

I don’t know about the rest of you but when I see a list of exclusions for a coupon…I usually just shop somewhere else! Regarding the $7.00 off coupon from yesterday,
keep an eye on your credit cards..I have a pending charge still in my account..hope it goes away in a few days! Have a great Sunday–I won’t be shopping Staples!

    • katie

I have had mine stay for 9 days after they cancelled my order before they finally gave me my money back.

  8. Jessica

I saw the $7 off post yesterday and read it in its entirety. The code could not be validated and I made the judgement not to use it. I don’t stand in judgement of those who tried it, but the post was clear in it’s warning that orders stood a likelihood of being canceled. There should be no one surprised or angry about this. Why should Staples honor all these orders? Somehow this code given to a select few near a store celebrating a grand opening leaked out..it was likely not done so maliciously. Letting customers keep 1-5 orders? Do you know this code was on EVERY coupon and deal site out there? Even if they allowed 3 let’s say per account you’re talking hundreds if not thousands of orders. I don’t care how big Staples is, no company could or would give away that much for the sake of good faith or press. Sometimes a deal is too good to be true, as Collin suggested in the original post. Those who placed an order took a chance, shouldn’t have expected much and shouldn’t have been surprised when things did not work out. Just my two cents! I hold no grudges against Collin & team, Hip2Save or Staples. .someone out there got this code and therefore it was valid for a particular set of individuals at a particular store, they wanted to share it with others in good faith, but not all deals can be shared 🙂

    • Sunny

Don’t disagree but the order should not go through before you even give a credit card… it should state invalid code.

    • Felicia

      Totally agree.

    • Nikki

Am I the only one who remembers this same exact thing happening with Staples? Collin posted a code like this from Staples before (I can’t remember when since I have been a long time reader) and all orders were cancelled. We all know the saying, “Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me”!

  9. paulette

Can I use Staples rebates with my 30 off 60 staples coupon?

    • JD

      Yes.

  10. shopencart

I always shop the clearance at staples, so I didn’t see anything wrong in using the coupon code. Many things on the web site have been clearances out at the store last year.

  11. Eric

This is very strange on the 20% bag deal– HP ink is excluded in the weekly print ad and when viewing the coupon (as Stephanie stated above), but when you actually print it out, HP ink is NOT excluded. An add’l 20% off HP ink is a good deal. Anyone else notice this, or try it out yet? Maybe it’s regional??
