   I didn’t receive this one. I did receive one for two bonus stars for purchasing a espresso drink until the 9th.

  I did not get this deal either but I got the one for bonus stars with the purchase of any expresso drink but mine was for 3 stars and I can use it as many times as I want.

  FYI: I just became a gold member 1/31 and I’m 9 stars from my next free drink.

   I received an offer for 6 bonus stars if I purchase a breakfast sandwich. I’m a Gold member who visits daily – I am curious to know what levels the members that received this offer are (Starbucks has said in the past these offers are not targeted, but I don’t really believe that…).

  The key is to have multiple accounts all in different standings and you will USUALLY get an offer to one of the accounts. This offer seems to have been for people in ‘green’ standings.

   I received the offer in mine (I’m GREEN) but my husband did not (he’s also GREEN). While it was a good looking sandwich, he said the egg was still cold in the middle.

   I am Gold and got nothing. My husband is Gold and got the free breakfast sandwich. My daughter is Green and she got 50% off food. None of us ever pays for drinks since I input so many Star Codes. (I drink Iced Via every day).

    All Starbucks MyStarbucksRewards offers are “one – to -one” marketing meaning, that lots of people will get different offers from the next person. It’s probably not even worth to post something like this when many MyStarbucksRewards members simply won’t get this offer. There are 9 million active MyStarbucksRewards members. As a practical matter, Starbucks likely doesn’t want to give out 9 million breakfast sandwiches: they’d have to have quite a supply, and would take a loss. So, the percentage of people who get each unique offer is probably small out of the 9 million. Customized offers (or only some people receiving offers) is the touchstone of one-to-one marketing.

  She didn’t post this to suggest that everyone would get the offer…no one thinks Starbucks is giving away 9 million sandwiches! 😉 She posted as a simple reminder that everyone should check their email accounts, because they might have gotten something awesome. Collin knows that many of us use separate email for coupons, etc. than for everyday email, so offers like this can go unnoticed. Thanks for the heads-up, Collin, even though I wasn’t one of the lucky ones this time! 🙂
