      Best purchase I’ve ever made.

I agree. It is definitely worth it and I paid 499 for the big one.

Is this the same one they sell at Costco?

You can buy reconditioned vitamix 5200 for $300 on vitamix.com. reconditioned doesnt mean refurbished. Reconditioned is when somebody bought a vitamix, didn’t like it, return it, they inspect it, change some parts. Its basically new vitamix for cheaper. If you buy if from the store i think you have 7 year warranty, if you you reconditioned, you still have 5 year warranty. We bought ours, im very happy with it.

Vitamix is my dream . But will stay that way for a while. The blender we have takes forever . We have to stop n mix by hand often =(

I want one so bad. My Ninja is close to death. Smells like smoke when I run it.

I had a Ninja and burned it up in about a year. Then I decided to splurge on the Vitamix. It is the best purchase I have ever made. We use it every day. I make my own cashew butter and almond butter-saves a ton of money. I make my own oat flour and rice flour-also saves a ton of money. My daughter loves the homemade soups. Last summer I made tomato soup by just throwing in tomatoes from my garden. It blended them and cooked them. Instant lunch. We also make smoothies out of fruit that is in the bargain bin at the store. I bring it home and whip it up right away. I made homemade spaghetti, pizza sauce. No need to peel the tomatoes. They become totally liquid-the seeds too. We love pomegranates but hate the seeds so I blend them in the Vitamix and we have our own pom juice for really inexpensive. Yesterday I bought 6 pomegranates for 99 cents in the bargain bin and made us a blender full of juice.
